    Would this be difficult to do? Could it possibly be as simple as replacing a few audio files in one version with those in another? I mean, that would be really cool. Failing that... you could “hack” the english text into the japanese version i suppose. That would likely be lot moar complex...

    oh god the english voices are horrible. klonoa sounds like... sonic.. almost. urgh! how difficult do peeps here think it would be to rip the japanese voices out of the japanese game and insert them into this version. that would be awesome if we could do that. i don't think i can stand to listen...

    i have an R4 SDHC, and this doesn't work properly on mine. Saving works, but when i try to load a savegame, it hangs with "Our story so far" (though the music is still playing in the background). Are there any fixes for this game? Any cheats that could sort this out?

    you're not serious... surely... Yes, this is true; yes you can play backups without a modchip. The cons are that not all games work, and loading times are usually about twice as long.

    One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

    I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

    Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
