    I have a job similar to yours, and deep down, I dislike it. I get through it by actively trying to enjoy what I'm doing, or at least to smile. Try it sometime. It makes the time pass faster, at least.

    I get it all the time, don't worry :P All the things people have suggested sound great. I think the best thing for us to do is visit the places we know we want to go to, then return to the areas that seemed nicest/most interesting and just have a wander around. Thanks for all your replies.

    Tip to avoid tedious sawing. Lift the edge of the tab like you did, then hold the end with the pliers and slowly roll the tab up around the pliers. The tabs get bent, but you can straighten them out first by hand and then by pressing the tab between pliers. That's how I do all mine, and I do...
