I've had an EZ Flash Omega (not DE) for a long time now, but have only recently started more heavily using it to play Pokemon, I've noticed an issue with the creation of saves that only manifests after an amount of time playing: eventually it loses the ability to create/overwrite saves and save...
Well according to the commits MyHorizons just got the ability to save and load patterns, they'll likely be in a file format comprising the actual information contained within a qr code, conversion likely wouldn't be that difficult but it likely wont support straight QR codes for a while, however...
I mean the save editor has a recipe editor now, and it has listings for the golden tools diy among many other things, so you should just be able to use that from now on, or does that not work just yet?
Decided to suck it up and figure out how the hell visual studio works, wasn't that hard, I compiled MyHorizons and tested changing names again, unsurprisingly it has the same issue as NHSE (Passport keeps old name) but I felt like it might just be worth sharing here, just in case so, here you go.
Can confirm this, set large star fragments to 2 in the editor and it gave me a stack of 3 in game, not that any extra confirmation was needed I just like saying things.
It seems that when I change my player-villager names in NHSE the name isn't being changed on my passport but when talking to npc's they'll still use the new name, has anyone else noticed this or have I just broken something on my end?
Does the save editor support changing the town rep as of yet, I took a look around my save myself but between my inexperience with hex editing and some issues with HorizonCrypt I wasn't able to get much, if the save editor currently supports it then I might have to take a look at compiling it...
After decrypting you should just be able to go to search and type in, for example, "0507" and set it to search the hex, then check if the ids for your other villagers can be found nearby
I'm not exactly sure, I mostly started poking around in my save to try and change the island rep. but from what I can tell you might be able to search for the id of a villager you already have and check if the other ids can be found nearby, if so you might just be able to overwrite them there
IIIRC Raymond should have the id 04 17, unless I'm completely wrong which is always possible, I believe you can find a list of villager ids in the source for the unreleased MyHorizons save editor, under resources, so if I'm wrong I'd recommend you check there.
So I think I found the cause of the flickering hills in Stow-on-Side as well as also maybe in some pre-battle cutscenes and route 8 (either that or a whole new issue):
