There is also Hysteria Hospital: Emergency Ward which is a similar game but in hospital environment. I don't know is it from same makers as Diner Dash games.
Path Way to Glory games from N-Gage. They were great games. I really enjoyed them. And High Size by the same RedLynx-company was a pretty decent Advance Wars style game.
The Battery in my 3 in 1 was dead out of the box. So don't think that battery couldn't be dead because your 3 in 1 is new. I also had problems saving in GBA-games. After I changed the battery saving works ok.

Pretty much every electronic shop shoud have CR1220-batteries on shelves. I bought mine from a local electronics shop for 3 euros.

I don't really like that you have to go trough the same levels over and over to get the required materials to "build" something, so you can advance in the game.
