Homebrew Question sys-modules: How much memory does each require and which ones need a reboot to toggle on and off?

SysDVR doesn't seem to require a reboot for me, at least. You do need to toggle it on while not running a game (or restart the game you have open after enabling) to get it to output properly, though.

Homebrew RELEASE NX Activity Log - View (slightly) more detailed play statistics!

Is there a way to backup / restore this play time data?

Hacking Nintendo Switch Banning Hub & Warning

I'm planning on downgrading my switch back to 3.0.2 (from 9.2.0) using the clean, unmodified backup I took of my switch the day I got it. I plan on doing this because I want to actually link my Nintendo account, retain a clean sysnand and play online with legitimate games. What is the easiest...

Homebrew RELEASE SysDVR - Stream gameplay directly to a pc

Yeah, the SysDVR config on the switch is set to RTSP. No idea, it works perfectly for me :(

Homebrew RELEASE SysDVR - Stream gameplay directly to a pc

I don't use the SysDVR client - I'm connecting straight to the RTSP source provided by the module running on the Switch (which is a cool new feature in the latest version). In OBS you simply add a "Media Source", uncheck "Local" and put the RTSP address into the box (rtsp://switchip:6666/)...

Homebrew RELEASE SysDVR - Stream gameplay directly to a pc

Thanks great to know! Seriously impressed. Upscaled the 720p source with Lanczos filtering, applied a bit of sharpness, and the end result was great. I did end up having to switch to RTSP over TCP instead of UDP, since I was getting very minor corruption from time to time, but TCP seems to...

Homebrew RELEASE SysDVR - Stream gameplay directly to a pc

Absolutely wonderful module. I'm blown away at how great this works. Installed the module, added rtsp address to my OBS, boom - solid. Great quality, no glitching. (5ghz WiFi on Switch, Ethernet on PC) Is there any downside to leaving this module running 24/7 even when not streaming? Curious...

    Homebrew RELEASE sys-clk under/overclocking sysmodule

I just got done playing Pokemon Sword with max clocks (CPU, GPU, MEM) docked the entire time using the official Nintendo charger. When I started, my battery was at 100%. 9 hours later, my battery was down to 87%. Is this normal behavior? I'm worried that I'm straining my battery or system...

    Hacking USB Loader GX

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but mentioning it just in case. Sometimes USB Loader GX will fail to initialize the hard drive (I know this has been reported a lot), but my issue is that when it fails to init, you can restart the Wii and only GameCube games will be visible. All of the...

Hacking Wii Newbie need firmware update advice.

If you used ModMii, you already have CIOS with a base of 57 installed in your 249 slot. Base 56 is installed into your 250 slot.

Hacking Updating a softmodded Wii from 2009 to 2019

Yup that worked perfectly! Installed 1.0 and then 1.1 and now it shows up properly. My Wii is now perfect, I am very happy with everything :) Thanks everyone for your feedback and support. <3

Hacking Updating a softmodded Wii from 2009 to 2019

Just got done installing the full ModMii setup and everything went well :) Now running 4.3U and everything is up to date. Homebrew works, Forwarders work, Backup Discs via NeoGamma work (with cMIOS), USB Loader GX works with loading Wii and Gamecube games! (Now using FAT32 on the HDD) The only...

Hacking Updating a softmodded Wii from 2009 to 2019

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I appreciate it! It's really weird to be doing Wii modding again. It was 10 years ago and I was in High School when I touched any of this last. Since then I've moved onto 3DS and now Switch haha. I will be making a NAND backup and performing a full update to...

Hacking Updating a softmodded Wii from 2009 to 2019

Wow thanks a lot, ModMii is great. I remember how annoying it was back in the day grabbing everything manually! This program is GREAT! Yeah, the drive is currently WBFS. I will actually probably upgrade the drive anyways and move everything over to FAT32 - which is a lot better than some...

Hacking Updating a softmodded Wii from 2009 to 2019

Believe it or not, out of all the consoles in our household, our Wii probably has / had the most use. It was the primary Netflix machine, and now it's the go to device for the kids wanting to play games and have fun. I soft modded this Wii with the original bannerbomb quite some time ago...

    Homebrew RELEASE sys-clk under/overclocking sysmodule

I'm new to sys-clk and I'm just trying to figure out if any of this is normal or not. I currently have a blank config file (so no overclocks or anything like that), and sys-clk is running. When I do title takeover (hold R while launching a game), and go into RetroArch, the clock is forcibly...
