    Homebrew RELEASE Firmware Dumper

The tool is quite simple: rather then having to depend on outside sources for firmware NCA's you can dump them yourself in a targeted efficient manner directly on your switch.. I wanted to cut out the middle man. A means to a end, a tool designed specifically for firmware dumps. Example: I was...

    Homebrew RELEASE Firmware Dumper

Your comparing a OTA update to a update extracted from the SDK... yes they are slightly different. The dumper follows the same exact structure as a Nintendo OTA update... I assure you the "cnmt" files are still there. Its fine. Why not? The extra trailing digit makes your head hurt because...

    Homebrew RELEASE Firmware Dumper

CHANGELOG:: 0.3 Detect firmware version & append version to output directory names on SD card. Fixed a bug where you couldn't restart a dump after canceling in certain situations. Verify necessary partitions are mounted between operations.

    Homebrew RELEASE Firmware Dumper

Still doing a bit of research to identify firmware versions.. but this is definitely on the to do list.. would appreciate any pointers more experienced homebrew dev's would be willing to share on this. A pending update dump will also dump your current firmware, there is no need to dump both...

@rajkosto have you considered adding a option to pull update data directly from the "SYSTEM:/Contents" folder on a switch that has "System update is pending" notification?

Tutorial Internal modchip - SAMD21 (Trinket M0, Gemma M0, ItsyBitsy M0 Express) Guide, Files & Support

Shit, your going in much more hardcore that I anticipated.. well done. I was only thinking a external dongle that runs off a small lipo battery that can be charged via usb port.

Tutorial Internal modchip - SAMD21 (Trinket M0, Gemma M0, ItsyBitsy M0 Express) Guide, Files & Support

I agree the price is a little steep compared to the alternatives.. Not sure where you got $60 tho, you might of been looking at the bluetooth/wifi variants? Lipo (aprox. $10) + feather board ($20) + micro to C cable ($2?)... price is still a little high in saying that.. a TX is what about $40...

Tutorial Internal modchip - SAMD21 (Trinket M0, Gemma M0, ItsyBitsy M0 Express) Guide, Files & Support

Has anyone considered using a feather m0 adalogger for a external solution? Inbuilt charger circuit & microsd.. seems ideal. Rather then storing payloads in flash memory you could read directly off the microsd.

Homebrew RELEASE ChoiDujourNX - a system firmware installer homebrew for the Nintendo Switch

Thanks for the reply, that doesn't answer my initial question tho.. if I upgrade my sdcard firmware will it be compatible with 4.1.0 if I chose to downgrade in the future?

Homebrew RELEASE ChoiDujourNX - a system firmware installer homebrew for the Nintendo Switch

I just finished upgrading from 4.1.0 to 5.1.0 - I updated using the "non-exfat" option. I booted into 5.1.0 using the stock option and it asked me to upgrade my firmware for my sdcard. If I upgrade the sdcard firmware, will I be able to use it on 4.1.0 if I ever decide to downgrade? Should I...

Hacking [No longer maintained] RajNX - starter pack for Nintendo Switch

Don't blindly assume the pack was the cause of the brick.. This is the first report of a "brick" caused by this pack, just because he was running this pack at the time doesn't mean it was the cause. Faulty dock? Poor soldering job? faulty SwitchMe module? I see a lot of room for error here and...

Homebrew RELEASE Rekado - payload launcher for Android OS

Is a "coreboot" file required to push payloads? Or only required if we want to boot linux?

Homebrew RELEASE ChoiDujourNX - a system firmware installer homebrew for the Nintendo Switch

Backing up saves is definitely a option and a wise decision regardless what method you use.. As shchmue mentioned you might need to wipe anyway if your jumping major versions (3.0.0 from 5.1.0 for example) if your downgrading using Choi.. so you'd loose save data anyway regardless what method...
