All went well, thanks Sasori and Cyber. I'm about to do the QA Flag thing for Rebug, but I'm wondering if there are any reasons for me to bother doing it if I only want to play PS1, PS2 and PS3 ISOs. Should I just stick to Ferrox?
Gotcha. I just needed to know first so I won't give myself a brick over something that could have been avoided by just re running the exploit again. lol
Thanks, I'll try to go ahead and install 4.2 Ferrox Standard. What happens if your console hasn't had the exploit and you try to install CFW though? Will it just not register the attempted install and fail?
One more thing. After I turned the PS3 back on it didn't go back to the XMB, I had to let the system do a system corruption scan because it stated the system had been turned off improperly. Was that suppose to happen, or was there an error during the exploit process?
So I just did the Nor Writer exploit and the console beeped 3 times then shutdown. How do you tell if the exploit worked successfully? My system still says it's on 4.82, is that supposed to change to a lower firmware version if the exploit was completed right?
Hello, quick question. Does all of this have to be done using a USB Flash Drive in particular? Can I use an external HDD for the Exploit after I manually update the system to OFW 4.82? Also, My PS3 is a slim I've had since 2010 with model number 2001B. This is usable right?
