Homebrew Upgrading to a new system
So I get that pirated games won't transfer and neither will all of my homebrew. I'm guessing the course of action then should be install luma and other cfw on the new 2ds (does it matter what cfw ill have on the new console?) and then do the system transfer. Is there any pain free way to basically dump my old 3DS' content (system + data) to a new 2DS XL or a new 3DS XL once i have homebrew installed? Do system dumps work the same way?- KugoSenpai

Yeah xd, it was. I had soundhax back in the day when it was a working entry point but then one day I unintentionally updated the system. There is a possibility that that war a reason why it stopped working. I'd have no idea since I have never used the DS function on my 3ds- KugoSenpai

So here's the thing. I've just completed "Installing boot9strap (Seedminer)" guide on 3dshacksguide (more like got to Section IV- flashing FIRM). I've purchases Zombie Skape (or whatever the game's called) on the 3ds store, got my movable.sed etc. I followed the guide step by step...- KugoSenpai

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better. -

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
