First thanks for some much details with the switch battery and batteries in general :) but is there a way to reenable that shipping mode by maybe shorting aa pins on the motherboard? And would you recommend that i take off the heatsink and replace the thermal compund with a more high quality one...
the break in thing with the cemistry is done from the factory i think and i left my switch with about 50% battery in a cool room because i have gone through the trouble and read about how to store li-ion battery safely and proper so that should al have been correct.
and the problem is that i...
should i do the hekate discharge when horizon says empty betary and then when im in hekate wait until it fully discharges until it shuts off with no sign of life and then charge it until like 4,2v so 100% and the discharge while playing and then hekate again until cutoff?
letting it die on rcm mode where there isn't the cut of thing or on the switch os and charging to?
because on switch os it just discarges to 3,8v and charges to 4,2v and batterys can discharge to about 3v
Hello,
i started to use my 3.0.0 switch again and installed cfw with hekate and atmosphere but noticed that my battery hold only charge for half an hour or so and i wonder why because i almost never used this switch before.
I looked at the battery info in hekate in console info and saw that the...
well the first part would be more understandable but when it is the second one thats really weird because it displays 20% so it knows that its just but at the same time it thinks its dead? wtf
when my switch turns off at 20% or so is the battery completly dead and it is just displayed wrong or is it the firmware which turns the console off even tho the battery is 20% charged?
lel i had that too xD i played around with linux a bit and then played xenoblade in handheld it was exactly 33% battery and would not turn on again but after putting it in the dock and letting it fully charge it fixed itself. i lost about 2 hours of play time because no autosave yey. i think...
Ok so i am pretty ok with using wires to short pins on my switch and booting linux (which i have already done).
do i need my 3.0.0 switch to get hb and cfw or can i then do it also with fusee gelee? i would go the route which would be faster or more seamless and easier
would be pretty difficult because i already looked into it but the solder joints inside the joycon is so incredibly small that you would probably not even able to solder a wire to them. Atleast for me too tiny but there are probably people who can do it
yeah i already was able to boot into linux with the rcm thing which is fusee gelee i think but i didn't know that they would be able to do homebrew with it
i read a bit and i think it will work like booting the switchOS with fusee gelee with a backdoor of some kind so you can install homebrew...
Because nobody in my area has a 3D Printer i'm going to try and make one out of plastic by cutting it or maybe wood but i think it would break easily. just have to experiment lel
Hello,
i wonder if we need a switch 3.0.0 to get homebrew and such installed in the near future because the RCM Methode exploid thingy came out and every switch to date is vulnerable right? so you could install it with this methode because i tried it on my 5.0.0 switch and i could boot linux...
I finally modeled and 3d printed the new HDD cages I need in order to build my 2nd NAS. Original ones don't fit the mounting holes on the hdds I'm using. Been sitting on this project for over 2 years smfh
Also another 70TB going in the front mount drive bays of this server. 182tb raw, going to probably use a zfs RAID-Z3 for 3 parity disks, so 140TB usable
I could claw back 14tb by only doing 2 parity disks but I feel like with 13 disks in the RAID I'd be kind of pushing my luck on rebuild time if I encounter a disk failure
