ROM Hack [WIP] Paragon (Fire Emblem Fates)

I made some edits to the GameData.bin file with a previous version of FEFNightmare. It was mostly adding classes, a few units, and weapons. The only thing I think that might've caused that is that I gave Nichol and Candace and a couple of dudes the same support Ids as a few of the kids (since...

ROM Hack [WIP] Paragon (Fire Emblem Fates)

Something odd I noticed when running the support editor is that Corrin's lists of supports are cut off: they go down all the way from Ryoma to Effie, but anyone after Effie on the table can't be edited for some reason. Not sure the reason why

ROM Hack [WIP] Paragon (Fire Emblem Fates)

I noticed that there's no option for injecting new class data fsr. Was that intentional? If I do want to edit new class data, would I have to use an older version of nightmare or something?

ROM Hack [WIP] Paragon (Fire Emblem Fates)

So I used the support module editor and I'm rather confused about how it works exactly. So far, I've only used the function that generates support modules from existing units, eg. '--support 25'' generates a module from Ryoma's list. It doesn't seem to edit the Gamedata.bin file in any way, but...

ROM Hack Fire Emblem Fates: ROM Hacking General Thread

I thought it was impossible to port the map models from Awakening into Fates though.

So when you made the map, how did you structure the mesh? Like, did you take a plane or some other flat surface and shape it into the basic outline of the map before inserting stuff in like the castles? I'm curious on the process.

ROM Hack Fire Emblem Conversation Editor (Awakening/Fates)

There's one thing I'm wondering about the program. It's possible to add new units to the GameData.bin file and give them support IDs. I guess my main question is if the program is built to handle that (not likely) and if not, if it's possible for me to edit the program to get around it.

ROM Hack Fire Emblem Conversation Editor (Awakening/Fates)

For some reason, the audio clips don't seem to want to play when I use them. Even running them in Windows Media Player doesn't work because it thinks they're invalid. This is pretty cool though. I downloaded it last night and it's very useful. The only real complaint I have has to do with the...

ROM Hack [WIP] Paragon (Fire Emblem Fates)

@thane98 So I've been looking through the code for the gamedata_module.py and gamedata.pyc files. It seems like it's possible to slightly expand the gamedata_module program to allow for the addition of new army and skill data by adding them to the group of parsable arguments. I'm wondering if I...

ROM Hack Fire Emblem Fates: ROM Hacking General Thread

So one of the changes I want to make is add new army IDs and the like. I added some to the text file, but in the GameData.bin itself, I'm not sure where I can find the army IDs and even if I did, I'm not sure how to add new ones without breaking something. Anybody poked around with that?

ROM Hack [WIP] Paragon (Fire Emblem Fates)

Right, I did what you said and I indeed managed to get it to work properly that way. However, I noticed something odd. I was adding a class onto a GameData.bin file I was working on earlier. The big change is that Candace, Nichol, and a few repurposed bond units got actual support lists and...

ROM Hack [WIP] Paragon (Fire Emblem Fates)

I figured that would likely be the case, so I redownloaded everything, including the updated gamedata and gamedata_module scripts, but I'm still getting the same problem. I tested it out with the new updated python scripts but it didn't seem to work, as no new data seems to be added. Actually...

ROM Hack [WIP] Paragon (Fire Emblem Fates)

Hi, I have a question regarding the Expand GameData feature in your updated Nightmare. I want to add a new class, so I typed in its name as the label (CHIEF) and set its ID to 129 (81H, as the Outrealm class is 80H). I saved the changes and I saw the GameData.bin file got five bytes added to...

There was a time where we were able to bypass the school's network using a VPN that wasn't blocked on the radar. Can't exactly remember the name, but I was able to watch YouTube.

One of the sites that weren't blocked on the school's network was some file uploading sites. I would upload some games, write down the URL and take it to school one day.

It was easy to bypass some of the restrictions, as one of the admins left a registry key in the administrative shares drive, which allowed me to get around the blocking of some sites.
