    Yup, disable your internet connection, shut down the switch (not just sleep mode, all the way) then boot into maintenance mode (hold down both volume buttons after injecting cfw if you're using AutoRCM) then power down the system again.     Thanks for the answers. Thinking about it I realized what it was. Connecting the switch to a power source automatically turns it on and in the end it's a moot point as it works fine even with the CFW.

    Yeah I'm having the exact same issue and it can't be the trainer as I don't even get to that point. The TCPGecko is crashing on me and all I did was upgrade that to the latest version. I'm running on a 5.5.1 spoofed to 5.5.2 myself running with browserhax.

    One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

    Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
