Hacking n3ds an error has occured on boot after powering it off on 2.1

Did you hit select after the browser load/freeze? otp.bin from your console? Have you tried clearing the home menu exdata on sdcard? (probably doesn't matter since you can't boot even with sdcard removed) Tried booting with the catridge slot empty? Tried deleting Luma config.bin, are you on...

Hacking R4 or R4i SHDC doesnt quite fit on a N3DS Xl slot

Supercard DSTWO is the same, sometimes it slightly catches on one side, just have to push it to the other side and slowly but firmly slot it in. Never had any issues.

    Where Is the Innovation?

The last game to blow me away was EverQuest's beta in 1998, and I played for 12 years; so I'm probably not the person to answer this thread... makes me feel old and crotchety. p.s. Get off my lawn.

Do you ever feel negative about buying a game that gets ported to modern console?

If it's a game I really love, added a good amount of new content, sometimes new control schemes (southpaw ps4 version last of us, left handers unite) or if the game was a product of passion by devs and not cranked out I may double dip and purchase again to support devs. On PC I love when I...

What is the BEST portable emulation device?

Yeah, I would purchase new to avoid this, but finding a new vita here on shelves is impossible. People who don't know about homebrew/hacks/backups are going to be on latest firmware, and unfortunately people who know are trying to sell 3.60 systems at a price premium =(

Hacking Couple of questions regarding vwii hacking

Yeah, plenty of USB sticks don't work or have issues. I had to return a Lexar stick when I hacked my friend's wii, it had issues with Usbloader. There is a compatibility guide somewhere on the internet. I haven't had any issues with a 32gb usb2 and 64gb usb3 sandisk cruzer glide. Also, use the...

Hacking Couple of questions regarding vwii hacking

D2x in the vwii thread will have the correct 249,250,251... the options you can pick in d2x (v10 etc) will say vwii. Those are for Usbloader etc. I don't use any fowarders so I don't know. I setup Nintendont, and then I set Usbloader settings to run nintendont for gamecube games. I'm not sure...

Hacking Couple of questions regarding vwii hacking

I would follow the definitive guide. You don't have to dump the nand/keys/ios but if something messes up in the future you're in a world of hurt. Dump the nand, dump the keys(required to decrypt nand), dump all the stock ios and system menu. Use d2x and install 249, 250, 251. Make sure you...

They also added Southpaw controls for us minority Left Handers, heathens of the gaming universe; obviously why so many game studios don't spend the 1 hour of coding to add the feature in:toot:

Hacking problems with my o3ds- doesnt boot...

ARM prefetch abort is an instruction prefetch. The processor takes the exception when it executes the instruction, or following. It means the program attempted to jump to a memory location that doesn't exist. It could be PC or R15 is set to an address that's invalid or prefetching an improperly...

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    How are you doing?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
