Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

Check your solder connections on the board and sdcard adapter against the OP's guide. Also try not to distort the shape of the adapter card. I found that the flimsy ones have poor connections after you open them. Also I dont mean to be *that guy* but thats an awful lot of solder for those...

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

Hey guys I had it working flawlessly with a re-made SD adapter. This is the error I had (lower screen) when it could write to and from the NAND chip via hardmod: Hope that helps with some of the "Do i have the correct error?" confusion.

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

Well I managed to get a few images off of the NAND chip (and they checked out ok) but spent hours trying to get the PC to recognize it. I believe I used a microSD>SD adapter that was already giving me problems under normal use, so i believe that's it. (The last few times it wouldnt let me...

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

Could you explain this more? I believe i have the same issue as you did. I have the anker card reader (from the amazon link in the OP) and I made the "franken SD cable" using and old SDcard adapter I had. I split it and soldered the wires just like the tutorial states. Is there some other...

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

Ok so i bought the anker reader from the N3ds post. I wired everything and triple checked wiring. Cant seem to get consistency on the PC side. Nothing happens, or it reads a drive and does nothing (after about a minute). Rarely I get the format dialog box and the farthest i can get it is...

...do you even need to ask? If it was suggested several times the average person would assume so.

Last I read, this was the solution to your problem. Have you used a recommended reader?

@DrLuigi The problem is you didn't explain the issue well enough lol. Little more on the details maybe?

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

I think some people are missing the point here... The program on the computer that utilizes the card reader requires a certain "chipset" chip to work correctly. Some built-in readers may have that chip installed, nobody knows. That being said, its possible some built-in readers COULD work...

@LowLevel If you walk into a hardware store and ask for flux, you're going to get acid core flux. This is a heavy-duty high-potency flux used for soldering copper pipes. If you look online for vendors that sell electronic soldering necessities you will find soldering flux, which is for...

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

@madzak Thanks! Also i believe you can use IDE cable wires but you want to check to be sure the thickness is quite small. 30 gauge wire is recommended by the OP and that's some small stuff. I used something a bit larger and had trouble settling the case back together so i went back to the #30...

Tutorial NAND Dumping 2DS/3DS/3DS XL/N3DS/N3DS XL!

I followed your excellent instructions and have completed the hardmod itself so far with no problems. I am waiting on my reader to come in from amazon for the software side. I am an electronics technician by trade so the soldering was quite easy (I have also considered performing hardmods for...
