Homebrew The Wii U Homebrew Request Thread

I'd like to request homebrew that allows the Wii U to output full range RGB through HDMI instead of only limited range through HDMI. I have a monitor that doesn't have an option for limited range RGB and the colors look washed out as a result. I'd even be willing to pay $100 or more just for it...

ROM Hack Pokémon Sacred Gold & Storm Silver

I made some .xdelta patch files for use with the clean unencrypted versions of the HGSS ROMs instead of the Xenophobia ROM dumps. It includes the last patches by Drayano and the Fairy-type patches by mikelan98. I used a hex editor to add the data missing in the Xenophonia ROMs from the clean...

    Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

Hi, I have a few questions in regards to the 3DS playing GBA games. Would it be possible to have an option where GBA/DS/DSiWare games are all played at their original resolution automatically instead of being upscaled? Would it also be possible to implement a feature where ghosting from GBA...

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

AuReiNand's name was changed to Luma3DS and the link for the latest AuReiNand build should be changed to https://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

Any plans on changing the guide to use RedNAND over EmuNAND? It can reduce the size of a 1.8GB EmuNAND partition to be 560MB smaller and there's an explanation on how to change to RedNAND on EmuNAND9's GitHub page. I did it a while ago before I switched to a9lh. I used version 20160326-150056...

I tried installing the CIA for the US version of 3D Gunstar Heroes (0004000000158400) on another 3DS and the installation failed.

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

I downloaded the most recent CakesFW nightly along with all of the files needed and did a clean install for it and now whenever I launch CakesFW it says that it fails to decrypt the firmware. It's not too much of an issue for me, since I use ReiNand as my main CFW.

Hacking [Release] FunkyCIA2 - build CIAs from your eShop content. Super easy and fast! (**2.1 FIX!**)

Cryptofixed the CIA I was having an issue with and tried to install it on 10.6 firmware, but it didn't work. The checksum value was the same and the error messages from DevMenu and FBI were the same. Maybe I'll have to install it on another 3DS like you suggested.

Homebrew Official [Download] Decrypt9 - Open Source Decryption Tools (WIP)

I was attempting to cryptofix the two games I posted earlier. Should've read the readme from Decrypt9WIP first before starting.

Homebrew Official [Download] Decrypt9 - Open Source Decryption Tools (WIP)

I ran both SEEDconv v6 and ncchinfo_gen.py in command line with the following commands: "seedconv.exe seedsave_emu.bin" and "ncchinfo_gen.py seeddb.bin". The only think that came up for ncchinfo_gen.py was "Done!", but when I ran SEEDconv it gave me a few lines of text which I've included as an...

Homebrew Official [Download] Decrypt9 - Open Source Decryption Tools (WIP)

I'm having an issue with NCCH xorpad generation. Decrypt9WIP says that the ncchinfo.bin file that's created from my seeddb.bin file has "bad number of entries" in it. If it helps the two titleids I have for seeddb.bin are 0004000000158d00 and 0004000000158400. 0004000000158d00 is 3D Sonic the...

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

Did you install the latest Homebrew starter pack and reinstall MenuHax? You should also leave the Homebrew Launcher's boot.3dsx filename untouched and rename CtrBootManager's boot.3dsx to less.3dsx.

Turns out I used the wrong AGB_FIRM file, I was using AGB_FIRM-PatchedV1-0004013800000202.cia instead of AGB_FIRM-PatchedV1-0004013820000202.cia.

@cearp I'm having an issue with FunkyCIA v2.1. Whenever I try to make a cia of a game with this id 0004000000158400 the cia created by FunkyCIA v2.1 is invalid and won't install, even though it says that the cia that was created is ok.

Tutorial Setting up 9.0 - 9.2 N3DS/XL for CFW, including EmuNAND, Coldboot, CIA Installer

A while ago I restored my original SysNAND backup and then restored the one that I was currently using and now I'm having trouble with playing Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games. Whenever I launch any of my GBA VC games on any CFW or on SysNAND via Pasta they all hang on a black screen, but...
