VC was bad, why should I spend 1000s of dollars on emulated ROMs? I remember buying every Sega Genesis game that's on Steam for 10 USD during a Christmas sale. That's the price of one N64 game on VC (with terrible emulation to boot). Switch Online is way cheaper.- DarthDub

Dismantling a Toshiba Canvio External Harddrive
Holy cow that was a pain, reminds me of dismantling an Xbox 360 where you have to pry plastic apart. I broke every single tab on this thing and finally got it open after almost an hour. It was well worth it for the sata-usb adapter though. Works perfectly attached to my SSD. I'll be cloning...- DarthDub

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better. -

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
