Yes the drive needs to be present, that's what I'm trying to eliminate. So far I've been reviewing cIOS stuff. I've gone through the d2x source code quite a bit but I still need to figure out how the actual IOS is modified and packed into a WAD. If it's something like C or C++ then I can work...- bentomo

Hardware Wii Disc drive removal
Has anyone implemented a software solution for loading games and software without the need for the wii's disc drive motherboard being attached? I'd like to forego purchasing a wasp fusion or leaving the plain disc drive attached.- bentomo
