    Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

Thanks! Some really nice changes there. Several other improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments and bug fixes have been made to enhance the user experience. Hah!

I'm happy to be able to simplify my setup further with the new payload selector. Thanks @Aurora Wright!

Are you using Luma's payload chainloading? You may need to rename your Decrypt9 payload as the feature changed in the latest release. It should be start_Decrypt9.bin instead of def_Decrypt9.bin

That was just misinformation on the wiki.

It should probably be mentioned in the wiki that the GBA boot screen can cause this freeze. @Shadowhand @Aurora Wright

No problem, but I can only take credit for compiling and posting it. The actual fix is all thanks to Aurora. It's really weird that it's working for us but not for some other people.

I'm not sure it was ever broken. The build I have from Plailect's guide still works with that commit, anyway.

    Homebrew [RELEASE] CtrBootManager9

    I think it's these: https://gbatemp.net/threads/safea9lhinstaller.419577/page-10#post-6185617

    Homebrew [RELEASE] CtrBootManager9

I've double checked, the build in the OP (v05) does what you describe but my own build works fine for me. I use Aurora's noscreeninit a9lh too, but it's from a few weeks ago so it doesn't have the latest commits.

    Homebrew [RELEASE] CtrBootManager9

I think you must have made a mistake somewhere because I just compiled it myself with the fix and it's loading fine on the latest build from http://astronautlevel2.github.io/AuReiNand/ (67e229e). Thanks @Aurora Wright! Edit: @Xsze discovered why this build isn't working for some people:

    Homebrew [RELEASE] CtrBootManager9

Quoting this suggested fix from the AuReiNand thread so the info doesn't get lost: However @Orkna compiled it and said it doesn't work:
  12. D

    Homebrew [RELEASE] CtrBootManager9

The fact you got that means it did work. You're missing files needed by Decrypt9 so it won't fully load. Plus you're using AuReiNand payload loading so this has absolutely zero to do with CTRBootManager9.

    Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

Typically, the file you have as boot.3dsx is what gets loaded when running menuhax, browserhax, hblauncher_loader.cia etc. (unless you've swapped the default *hax payload for, for example, the lesshax one). If you use the boot.3dsx from AuReiNand, then AuReiNand will be loaded directly from the...

For the Preparing page I would suggest using sub headings to make it clear which info is relevant to A9LH and which is for other *hax. Plus a short intro to explain it. For example:

Can confirm it works with MGS3D. Also checked that the higher clock survives events like pressing home, closing the lid and settings reboot (the former, at least, would reset the clock back to default with NTR).

    Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

I tested it with MGS3D. Found a spot where I could constantly spin the camera and the FPS would drop at the same point on each revolution. Increasing clock speed/L2 with NTR makes the framerate (almost) constant the whole way around. Unfortunately the clock setting in the latest ARN beta didn't...

Because NTR FIRM lets you use NTR and 10.4 FIRM doesn't seem to have any advantages.

Homebrew Official [Download] Decrypt9 - Open Source Decryption Tools (WIP)

I made aeskeydb.bin and (with the other keys removed) the self tests all passed. The only .3DS I had to decrypt was Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars which is old so maybe didn't even use the keys(?), but it worked regardless. My System Info looks correct. Recognises N3DS, NAND size, region, A9LH, GW...

Homebrew [NEW] Browser Check Bypass (yls8)

I couldn't get this to work on my 9.9.0-25E O3DS. After changing the date and time the update message still always appears as soon as the browser splash screen fades so I couldn't even get to the browser settings to do step 2. I did a lot of googling and tried all the suggestions I found...

Useless? It would save the effort of memorising a bunch of button combinations, which I think would be valuable to a lot of users.
