You should know it's first party if the Wii logo is in the middle, and yes it uses the same cable that PS3 controllers charge with(USB to mini USB). It can't be used for games that support the Wii classic controller, it only works for Wii U games(and Nintendont).- 48john

Wow just realized it only didn't read because I was trying to use the Classic Controller as player 1, if I have the PS3 controller as P1 and Classic as P2 it works. Is there anyway I can change that? I just got this Hori Battle Pad and I'd rather use that for single player games than the PS3...- 48john

Want to play multiplayer in Nintendont(Wii U) but I can't get more controllers to read, the only one that does is the PS3 controller which I have as controller.ini in the root of the SD/USB.
