Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

Just to be sure, I blocked *.nintendowifi.net and nvpk.app.nintendo.net, and was very surprised when Steel Diver multiplayer lobby worked as usual. Tested any of listed in your https://gbatemp.net/threads/regarding-the-recent-3ds-banwave.471781/page-291#post-7346389 post addresses with tracert...

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

Just checked now, not banned, was able to play a round of Stell Diver (legally purchased), bad news is URL filter in my router is not working - it just shows blocked URLs in settings, but actually allows connections to them, judging by tracert.

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

@suzsuzuki sounds like temporary solution, they will add some secret word that legit apps must transfer to Nintendo server for verifying themselves.

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

@borka Pretty sure all that complicated stuff is not needed because routine check for titles installed is more than enough to detect piracy. People that still not banned probably serve as a specimen in controllable environment. Let's assume some method of hiding cfw and other unauthorised stuff...

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

    > People complaining that nobody figured what triggers a ban And I am 99% sure that is stays exactly like that unless somebody make a list of all possible causes and then buy as much new consoles as causes listed +1 for control, then run a test with all of them. But, even if such mythical...

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

@AyanamiRei if it really all about Pokemon, then it's kinda huge overreaction from Nintendo, imagine being banned from any online play in Windows just because you cheated in some Microsoft game. They could just implement anti-cheat system in Pokemon games themselves, or require some tool to be...

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

This banwave about online functionality in games, not eShop access, so you keep all your purchases even if banned.

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

Can't see why they should stop anytime soon, the N2DS clearly shows that 3DS ecosystem lifecycle is far from over, therefore Nintendo will protect it at all costs.

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

Makes no sense, they even changed message on support page that these bans will never be lifted. My only guess, besides that people lying, that they were hitted by mistake and Nintendo calibrate their detection algorithm since then.

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

I also asked about that today, and was told that you actually need to call or write to Nintendo to completely unlink NNID from your console to be able to use it on another one.

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

@KytuzuEX yeah, I kinda forgot that Spanish is language that used also outside Europe, and because of that thought that region doesn't matter. BTW, I am not banned (yet), but will use your links when that time comes, much better than calling to US and lie in foreign language :D.

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

@KytuzuEX So, region of console don't matter? I have doubts about Russian support helping me with American console.

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

Thanks for quick reply, I have another question, does 002-0102 ban prevent using any online games, or only Nintendo ones?

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

I read that this is not NNID ban, does that mean that you can buy new console and link your NNID from banned console without repercussions?
