Hacking This place is so dead, it's rotting...

I just want to go on record saying I do like my DS-X. All the while, I don't share the same sentiment as p1ngpong, and I think he handles himself innapropriately. I really enjoy the convenience of integrated memory, and I have never once had an issue with my device. The team has left...

Hacking DS-X is a piece of Sheet?

^ The team never released the firmware. DS-X Guru did it on his own. 1.1.3 is the private beta that the team let out, but DS-X Guru made it public. Apparently, even he got tired of the shenanigans.

World Peace. But, in reality, the FPGA is only as useful as people code for it.

    Hacking 1.1.3 is out

^ I never realized that. Which ones allow full access to the FPGA like the DS-X does?

    Hacking DS-Xtreme OpenSource Firmware Project

^ from what I understand, you are right. It is a bandwidth issue. The DS-Slot just isn't fast enough. Even with the FPGA adding extra power it won't matter. The transfer rates are the bottleneck.

    Hacking DS-Xtreme OpenSource Firmware Project

Allegedly, the DS-X can be more powerful than the DS it supports. However, in reality, it is only as powerful as the programmers coding for it.

I like you too. I see no reason why that post should get deleted. I don't really understand your rebuttal though.

    Hacking Help DS-X CRASH!!!

I am glad you did that. It needed to be done, and there was no reason for TheGame07 to defend himself.

It depends on how Opera was coded. It probably wouldn't work though. But, it could be very beneficial for a homebrew web browser.

    Hacking DS-Xtreme OpenSource Firmware Project

I think what he is suggesting (correct me if I'm wrong) is to have the updater point to http://www.reveng.com/DS-X/. That way nobody has to configure anything. I don't think that there would be a problem setting up different directories on reveng.coms server to be used for each variation of...

    Hacking a crazy idea

sinkhead, you misunderstood his question. He is saying since Team DS-X doesn't allow Commercial Rom talk on their forums. No one can ever post that they want an Arm7 fix. If there were a homebrew application that utilizes Arm7, asking for a firmware update to support it, would not be against...

    Hacking DS-Xtreme OpenSource Firmware Project

gedly, theoretically, yes. You can utilize the FPGA to make the DS-X more physically powerful than all the other carts. The problem is, is there really truly a demand for it? Coders would have to dedicate their time specifically to the DS-X, thereby reducing the amount of people able to use...

    Hacking DS-Xtreme OpenSource Firmware Project

Does the PC Software need to be cracked at all? Couldn't we just intercept it, and have it redirect to a different server with the homebrew versions of update.txt and update.bin.

^ IMO, you are 100% exactly wrong. They won't even release a firmware update, what makes you think they will divulge their secrets? The only way to do it, is to brute force it.
