    It wouldn't hurt to have a backup of the NAND on your latest firmware version, in case you accidentally burn the efuses. Right now, if that were to happen and your nand got messed up, you would be SOL.

    I cannot understand why people want a "backup loader", why not just buy the original game outright, it’s hardly a huge expenses, if you can afford the actual handheld/console Nintendo Switch then surely you can afford to pay 30 pounds/35 dollars to buy a game, if not go down your local CEX game...

    No, It doesn't install them. It runs Mii Maker (or Super Smash Bros), and temporarily "overwrites" Mii Maker with the game you load, and the wii U plays the game you loaded while thinking it's running Mii Maker, this is the reason why you can't play online. (I know it's not exaaactly like that)
