I looked around in the NSP, and it looks like the file name for English would just be the character name (i.e. Abigail.xnb), for other languages it follows the following structure:
Abigail.de-DE.xnb - German
Abigail.es-ES.xnb - Spanish
Abigail.ja-JP.xnb - Japanese
Abigail.pt-BR.xnb - Portuguese...
Becuase it's not free, the same thing happened with the 3ds scene for gateway. Although there are a lot of free options for cfw now that all work very well, SX was first and still has it's features that the others don't.
It turns out, if you extract the game's NSP the files are nearly identical to those on the PC release.
This means you can use Layeredfs to get some of the PC mods working on switch, however this only works with XNB mods. This will not work with mods that use SMAPI or any other program that...
Didn't the 3ds also have protections against starting apps installed via devmenu. If I remember correctly, they would only launch on a cfw with sig checks.
Hmmm, just tried Sonic Mania. No dice. It fails at 100% there must be some kind of patch that allows devmenu to install NSPs. Although I swear I saw someone on twitter install them successfully but be unable to launch them.
Also layeredfs is not enabled in the free version of SX OS. If only...
NSPs will install using Hekate, it just can't launch them because no one has implemented sigpatches on CFW yet.
Now we don't know if SX OS's free mode disables sigchecks, there's a good chance it might not. Either due to oversight by TX or intentional negligence.
There might be a homebrew nsp installer, if not yet soon. Then you should be able to use that to install devmenu directly and launch it with sigpatches.
Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking! I can't try it at the moment or else I would. I figure there's a pretty decent chance it will work, but only one way to find out.
Has anyone tried installing apps using devmenu on Hekate and then booting SX OX without a license to see whether or not they blocked off sigchecks or not?
It reduces the lifespan of the drive.
SSDs are rated for a number of writes, after that they deteriorate.
Defraging an SSD causes unneeded writes and wears the drive.
Now all things considered, I do not believe that it is the end of the world if you accidentally defrag your SSD, but you...
Interesting, it could be possible that it is part of the 3DS, or maybe it's part of the software that runs NDS software on the 3DS. Maybe it was used when testing compatibility with DS games on the 3DS.
This sounds like it might be a debug function of the game. There are other DS games that have debug functions that can be accessed after the game crashes, and a combination of buttons are pressed.
The Pandora could only run certain Linux programs (due to it having an arm processor). The gpd win is much more interesting because it runs full windows, so most light PC games should play on it.
Well, there could be a way to unpack, or obtain the source from it somehow (assuming it's not available from elsewhere)
But it's a bit unlikely that any of this will work. If you really want to play it on the go, get a gpd win when it comes out.
Puyo Puyo Tetris is good, it has combines tetris and puyo puyo and has diffrent modes for each.
Interestingly Japanese tetris games are a bit different than other ones. They have modified rules that aren't in other versions, stuff like audio cues, block outlines, ect
