Anyone can now sign up for the Nintendo Developer Portal

It's sad, it's usually because of such retards flooding to get SDKs that compagnies stop giving those away. Especially for the ones like Nintendo that just opened to the mass. Please people don't be dumb and make it harder for nintendo and real developpers.

Porting VLC ? I'd say not without rewriting like, most of it.

Most of the files format do, but it's not taken into account by the player auto Porting VLC to 3DS is far from being an easy thing, mainly because it has a LOT of dependencies, including a good multithreading OS. However ffmpeg does support all those formats, the main problem is simply...

Most of the problems can be fixed easily, Y2R_* was renamed to Y2RU_*, and yeah gpu functions are now deprecated, though still working. See https://github.com/smealum/ctrulib/blob/master/Changelog.md . I'll check my local commits this week.

Well, it was made that way because ctrulib now has ref counting for services handles.

    Homebrew Homebrew Development

You should use fsUseSession fsEndUseSession whenever you want to use a different archive. This is because all the FS_* functions were changed during great-refactor to use only the current session handle. Now you should be able to simply use fsUseSession(savedataHandle, false) to have access...

Homebrew [Release] 3DAmnesic, a POC video player

Hi guys, sorry for the late reply, I'm not visiting GBAtemp that much. I've been under a lot of workload those past months, and the small time I had to spend for the 3ds scene and this project ended up in debugging the new ndsp sound module of ctrulib. Lately I've been working on network stuff...

Homebrew Browserhax is dead (on 9.9 and up)

Well, yeah but you did ask "(anyone feel bold enough to try?)", so yeah, I confirm it, as long as the cdn is blocked you will not get the update message

Homebrew Browserhax is dead (on 9.9 and up)

It is *not* dead, as long as you don't ever go online with the browser. If you block any access with your router, or setup a WLAN and serve static HTML pages using a proxy, everything will be fine. However, as long as you had this message once, you're screwed

Homebrew [Release] 3DAmnesic, a POC video player

Ok so today I played a bit with the audio stuff, mpeg4+mp3 should be ok ! You won't be able to have AAC at a decent speed though (the output format of the decoder isn't supported by the 3ds). Without optimization or anything, a video with the following codecs runs at ~29fps : Video: MPEG4 Video...

    Homebrew CMake for 3ds homebrews

Hi folks, I made some cmake scripts a few weeks ago, with those you can easily port cmake projects to devkitpro with only minor changes. The repo url is https://github.com/Lectem/3ds-cmake The reason I'm sharing it here is that I'd like people to use the same scripts instead of baking their...

Homebrew [Release] 3DAmnesic, a POC video player

I just released my proof of concept video player on https://github.com/Lectem/3Damnesic. It is really nothing more than a proof of concept for now, since you can only play MPEG4 and H264 videos, and there's no sound. The video will play as fast as it can, please don't complain about it being...
