Hacking Discussion SX EmuNAND is not real EmuNAND.

The problem is that resizing a system partition is a delicate operation. If you lose power during the resize (or if anything else goes wrong) you'll end up with corruption. Will this method work, yes. Is it a good method, no. I have no horse in this race, I'm happy that SX are releasing new...

Hacking Discussion SX EmuNAND is not real EmuNAND.

Got it, thanks for the info. Ugh, what a poor solution - I'll be avoiding SX 2.0 Emunand thanks to your investigations.

Hacking Discussion SX EmuNAND is not real EmuNAND.

Has it been confirmed yet that the system NAND is being repartitioned? SX could be using a virtual file system (as a single file) on the system NAND without repartitioning? If they are repartitioning system NAND then that is obviously very bad but if they are using a virtual file system without...

Hacking TX Announces revolutionary update to SX OS v2.0 with 'EmuNAND' and more

Their description is vague though. It doesn't actually say that the system NAND is being repartitioned. It only says that "your EmuNAND partition lives inside of your regular NAND". This could be using some kind of virtual file system (as a single large file) that sits in the system NAND...

Hacking TX Announces revolutionary update to SX OS v2.0 with 'EmuNAND' and more

Guys, are we 100% positive it repartitions the system NAND? Could SX just be creating a virtual file system (as a single large file) inside the system NAND partition? Has anyone tested it?

Hacking Emulation RetroArch/Libretro Thread: PS Vita Edition! Nightlies Included

I just updated Retroarch to v1.7.3 stable on firmware 3.60 but I've found that loading save states is broken for Genesis cores on this version. Saving a state successfully creates the savestate file but loading just seems to perform a game reset (as if you restarted the game). Has anyone else...

Hacking [RELEASE] GATEWAY PUBLIC RELEASE 2.4b

I believe that SSB uses a new memory mode. It uses memory that is typically reserved for the Home screen menu/system. That's why the system resets when you exit SSB because it needs to regain the memory to load the Home/system. It's not a bug, it's a method of optimization to make the game run...
