Homebrew Homebrew app Switchfin: Jellyfin client for Nintendo Switch

An option to go in sub-menu rather than straight playback is a MUST. Map Y button? Stats for nerds to see bandwidth + cached ram usage Timeout error when starting, successful playback on 2nd or 3rd try, perhaps extend the waiting time to receive cache> might be due to drives spinning up from...

Hacking Hardware McFly - an RP2040 board compatible with Picofly

Yea this is incorrect, again. It will work outside the cpu enclosure. People tend to exaggerate the distance of the mosfets thinking its so far that it will get loss signals. Mcfly/RP2040 is right next to the SX flex cable original position.

Hacking Hardware McFly - an RP2040 board compatible with Picofly

Since you're making a new chip, might as well not use the flex cable that they can and will monopolize. Its the logical approach tbh. Not to mention, the flex cable is not that accessible to everyone with its only source, aliexpress. If you're opposed to magnet wire, you could use ribbon cable...

Hacking Hardware McFly - an RP2040 board compatible with Picofly

Did I not mention the flex cable that everyone is using right now and ever since sx days is quite far apart from the capacitor.

Hacking Hardware McFly - an RP2040 board compatible with Picofly

I doubt wire size will impact it. Its not like its going far, the main chip is placed right beside the apu anyway. Its not that far as you think.

Hacking Hardware McFly - an RP2040 board compatible with Picofly

Time to debunk this once and for all. The original flex cable has quite a distance from the capacitors. Its more of a design choice that has been used since SX. No reason the mosfet incorporated in the main chip will work differently. The only reason the "close to the APU" is a thing is...

Hacking Hardware McFly - an RP2040 board compatible with Picofly

Did you populate the total parts necessary, resistors/caps? Or you just desolder and salvage parts from rp2040 zero? I imagine that would be difficult to do

Can you load switch games from a HDD?

Well, no one is stopping him or anyone to "anonymously" upload it. Hopefully with the surge of RP2040, someone will take that mantle. Edit: I miss having a docked switch with 2tb hdd in SX core days..

Hacking Hardware McFly - an RP2040 board compatible with Picofly

wdym, the original flex cable has the mosfets quite far apart.

Hacking Hardware McFly - an RP2040 board compatible with Picofly

I think you should add the required mosfet for the CPU points on this board, making the flex cable obsolete. There's plenty of space for it. Also, gerber file would be great.

    Picofly AIO Thread

Elephant in the room question since its not been said anywhere. How do we update (in the future) when USB-C port, buttons and regulator is desoldered.

What are the requirements for the n-type mosfet? Same Vgs threshold + Id as the one recommended?

Might as well solder gate pin of mosfet directly to pin 15 of rp2040 and run 2 wires to cpu. Much cleaner tbh. Not to mention it won't hinder with heatsink height clearance.

Hacking Hardware OLED won't boot OFW

The cause of this is due to mismatch ofw and cfw between nand and sd card. Keep it the same and you won't have any boot0 corruptions. Well, this always happens whenever a new firmware releases. Stop playing ofw awhile during that time.

I'm positive Boot0 is corrupted. Use hekate and restore to a known good Boot0. Problem solved.

HWFLY OLED install. I can't get the DAT0 connector to connect.

Its not about the brand. Its about the technology in the tips itself that allows heat transfer. If you can't afford t115, T12 is a good start. But i recommend T115 and T245 if you can.

HWFLY OLED install. I can't get the DAT0 connector to connect.

Funny how people are using bad soldering irons to do microsoldering and have no idea why they are struggling. Get better irons like t115 or t245. Pricey but it allows heat to transfer to even the smallest tip.

Modded Switch OLED not booting HWFLY LED goes from purple to yellow/orange

Make sure the inner side of the nand shield is covered with kapton tape. I had the same problem just to discover the solder blob on the dat0 adater was touching the shield grounding everything.
