Hacking Using Popsloader on ME 2.2?

Yes, that is the CFW I'm running

Hacking Using Popsloader on ME 2.2?

Yeah, it seems like my CFW cant find the plugin stuff, sadly. Up until now ME has worked with every game, but I was just trying to get POPsloader to work for an obscure game. Heres hoping perhaps someone who uses ME and has solved it will chime in :P Because the only VSH files I have, are...

Hacking Using Popsloader on ME 2.2?

I dont have a plugins folder at all, oddly enough. Should I just make one in the root folder and it will work after doing what you said?

Hacking Using Popsloader on ME 2.2?

Trying to figure out how to use Popsloader, but all the tutorials are for the M33 CFW versions, and I'm using ME2.2. All of these tutorials involve adding Popsloader to a folder named "seplugins", but my PSP doesnt have this folder and I cant seem to find where to get all these files x.x I...

Hardware Help for beginner - new PSP

I havent encountered any lag problems, but all I use my PSP for is a literal portable playstation: Playing PS1 games, PSP games, and movies. Perhaps the Ram would be a key factor for emulating the Nintendo 64 and the likes. I'm fine with somewhat longer load times :P

Hardware Help for beginner - new PSP

Ah, sorry, I'm relatively new to the scene, since I got my PSP a few months ago. I guess some of the guides I read were old. But my point about the extra weight of the 1000 still stands, a hefty handheld feels nice ;) I'm told the newer models have brighter screens, but I use my PSP on the...

Hardware Tips on handling this fragile screen?

Huh, those lens wipes sound like a good idea, actually. I tried using a baby wipe once because it was the softest, wettest cloth I could think of, and it made a bit of a bad haze on the screen when it dried. I would only be cleaning the screen every so often, since my new case keeps most...

Hardware Help for beginner - new PSP

Personally I'll vouch for the 1000 model, I have a 1000 and I love the extra weight (a nice, heavy portable feels good in my hands). Replacement parts for it are really cheap as well ;) Only real limitation I've come across is that you cant hook it up to your TV directly via cables. But for...

Hardware Just got a Component TV-Out Cable for my Go

(Sorry for necro'ing a thread, but I figured this would be a good place) Huh, I never knew these things existed.... I just looked them up, and they didnt make any for my PSP 1000 model. But could anyone answer this: Why does the PSP 1000 have an AV jack (the hole next to the headphone jack) if...

Hardware Tips on handling this fragile screen?

I replaced the old screen on my PSP 1000 because it had some scratches, and now I'm scared to so much as touch the thing, so I was curious if anyone knows of good ways to periodically clean the screen off? I tried cleaning my old screen with tissue, a soft hand towel, and a microfiber cloth...

Gaming Anyone managed to make Shadow Madness work?

Hmm, I'll try it out then some time. I've never even installed Popsloader because every other game has worked xD

Gaming Anyone managed to make Shadow Madness work?

Just got my PSP the other day and I'm putting the PS1 games I loved on it, but none of the Eboots for Shadow Madness seem to work, even the one I made from my copy. It works up until the first cutscene should play, where it just blackscreens. Sound keeps playing and the game progresses, but the...

    Hacking Things to avoid doing?

Personally I asked for the 1000 model because I used to own one, plus I prefer heavier over lighter, and its supposed to have the longest battery life. But sure, I can try out the temporary custom firmware, sounds safer than permanently modding it :)

    Hacking Things to avoid doing?

Well, my title was mostly in case there were weird problems that might occur, like "If you bump the stick while installing the new firmware, the PSP 1000 model will erupt into a ball of flames to prevent piracy" XD But good to know that the games I want to play should be simple. I already have...

    Hacking Things to avoid doing?

I'm hopefully getting a PSP 1000 model for Christmas (I asked for that model specifically), and as you all can assume, I'm hoping to modify it so I can play PS1 games. Are there any things I should 100% avoid doing or need to know? I'm reading up on what I need to know as I type this, just I...

    Any good off-brand multicarts?

Ouch, 100$ is a bit rich for right now, but I definitely know what to ask for, for Christmas :P

    Any good off-brand multicarts?

Just fixed up my uncles old NES and was hoping to have a little fun on it, and was wondering if any multicarts exist that have like: all the mega man's, all the Final Fantasy's, or all the castlevanias on one cartridge.

Hacking Do you have to hack a psp to play ps1 roms?

Ohhh, alrighty, I can handle that then. I didnt know hacking one myself was so easy xD

Hacking Do you have to hack a psp to play ps1 roms?

I'm debating on getting a PSP 1000 with the hope of using it to play PS1 roms (or Eboots, as i hear they are called) on it, but do you have to hack the PSP to play PS1 games that you download? I'm asking because a hacked PSP costs way more than a non-hacked one.

Hardware Is the "Halo backlight" any good?

Yeah, I could easily get an SP for cheap, but I like the original GBA's shape. Plus, I just bought it a couple months ago along with an EZ Flash IV for some nostalgia. And I kinda figured it would be just a frontlight, since it was cheap-ish, and just went on the screen. Now I'm just...

    How are you doing?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
