ROM Hack Telefang 2 Full Translation Patch

Exciting, I'm on the brink of this project coming to closure. Wish I stuck around for the English translations years back, since I had some of it refined and polished on the way. I mean, they already had English characters in there, but I don't know how you guys are doing it. I got too busy...

ROM Hack Telefang 2 Full Translation Patch

Wow, I waited a few years, and it seems these posts are recent. I would love to have the new font for the patch, but I'm guessing you're changing the option select bug (yes/no choices, etc...). Also, there's weird names when receiving an item, such as "9sadeGESA got [item]!" though I'm sure...

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

Actually, that gives me a fun idea for a separate mod... a Pokemon Dungeon Rush mod!!! I won't need a save chip, and it will be awesome. I can ditch the save chip for that idea, and I'll get the flash cart for the full mod. This will be fun.

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

The reason I was looking at the MBC was how it looks like it connects to the SRAM in this picture: I mean, it looks like it shares some paths. Just a hunch, but I haven't dug into the depths of Google to find a good back-front scan of the chip board. I mean, what if I used an SD card as an...

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

And I've been considering making a custom cart, seeing as the wires go.... differently. I will be looking into getting a custom cart, maybe. The wires from the ROM remain the same, but the MBC5 baffles me compared to other carts. I might research it later, I dunno. I think this was an...

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

Alright. I read up that an EPROM was used on a GBC cart, a 1:1 match. That's probably the flash chip you mentioned, which has the matching pinouts.

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

Well, the obvious difference between MBC3 and MBC5 is MBC5 is missing clock/timer. I could just ditch it, since it's not really necessary. I mean, my mod will include everything at a certain daytime. I could just route the data elsewhere. I believe Pokemon Gold has a way to say "well the clock...

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

Pokemon Gold is said to have MBC3: http://jra.so/proyectos/Game-Boy-Cart-Flasher/game-boy-cartridges.html The cart I have has MBC5.

PIC burners. But no worries, I was only looking for someone to explain this to me.

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

I looked into it, but it would cost me more than just buying a Pokemon cart and burning the chip.

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

I never said I knew more, I just won't take bullshit responses. If you're going to explain something to someone who is still learning, don't go "well you're just stupid". I know my shit, and I've researched a lot before I went and bought a cart. I didn't realize it was going to be missing a...

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

I'm not attempting to berate, but you're assuming newcommer = dumbass. No, I'm not making a scene, but you're berating me. If you're not going to help, don't come to this topic. Yeah, I don't mind looking into the schematics, just give me useful tips.

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

Who do you think I am? I am a programmer, I will learn shit to do this. I don't care, lead me to some links. I know where to get software and stuff to do this, for $22. No joke.

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

I wasn't expecting to wire it in like MacGeiver, no... I'm reading into pinouts, and there's the obvious difference of resistors needed, and maybe some registers. I could get a custom circuit board to do this, but I need some pointers. I could try to buy another cart, but it's a long walk to...

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

Hurhurhur, it's for a Pokemon mod, I'm going to burn it to the chip later... uh, yes it needs the SRAM and battery, because I'm going to use it on Pokemon Stadium 2 later. The SRAM is the savedata numbnuts.

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

I could put the battery on the outside, or modify the cartridge. It's for my own personal use.

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

I could wire the SRAM in, it doesn't have to be on the chip. I'll meld it to the cartridge in a holder.

    Hardware Help!!! No SRAM!!!

I need someone to help me with this one: I bought this at a pawn shop for $6, and once I opened it, I realized it was missing the SRAM and a battery... I was wondering if anyone could point me to a modding tutorial to fix this problem? I have soldering tools if anyone asks.

    Miku's Adventure (Pokemon Gold Hack)

Hey guys, I've been working on a test/demo project on the side, a Miku adventure in Pokemon Gold: I changed the starters to: CLEFFA, IGGLYBUFF, and TOGEPI, each level 1. Rival starts with CHIKORITA, CYNDAQUIL, or TOTODILE, and I made it so that they are still catchable in the wild. I had to...
