Hacking [PSP] La Pucelle Ragnarok Translation

While very late, I did want to mention: The $99 version is just the fancy limited edition. There's a Deluxe version for $60 (which usually gets discounted to $40 anyway) and a Standard version for $40 over eShop, since you can't buy 'em separately. If you have a PC, get it on there! La Pucelle...

Hacking Phantom Kingdom Portable: English Translation

Hey, so, it's been a long time since I've been around here, but I felt it appropriate to say since someone had bumped this thread: Thanks to the power of NISA cashing in on non-Disgaea titles, Makai Kingdom has officially been announced to be getting a new port, this time with the PSP content...

Hacking [PSP] La Pucelle Ragnarok Translation

That's weird. Are you certain you're applying the patch to a clean iso? As in, not an iso that's had a patch applied to it before.

Hacking Phantom Kingdom Portable: English Translation

There was a bug about getting the Ultimate Weapon recipes in MK1 PSP? I never noticed, I guess I never got them. Of course right now we're assuming that MK2 is what he's doing. Who knows. Maybe he's doing that Antiphona menu translation I requested way back when. I guess mostly it's down to...

Hacking Phantom Kingdom Portable: English Translation

Someone's a little hopeful for Mana Khemia 2 Portable. But really, it is a shame they did never bring that over, especially since we got Mana Khemia 1 for PSP as well. My expectation is that there ended up being too many bugs to get through combined with the PSP's shoddy market in the West.

I do look forward to what your next project may be, Chep! I'm glad to hear that you have managed to settle down how to do the fixes since you first started this project-- really gained a lot of experience and progress by handling LPR and PKP, huh?

Hacking [PSP] La Pucelle Ragnarok Translation

I think as long as the fixed font width works without crashing, it's worth a try. It does definitely look easier on the eyes in terms of reading it (though it's not really a problem much either way for me.) The missing apostrophes are a true loss when it comes to this, but it'd be far more...

Jesus, that's some screwed up bug. I do have to wonder what triggers that.

Hacking [PSP] La Pucelle Ragnarok Translation

I do definitely recommend the Disgaea series (5 is out today in Japan!!), but Disgaea 1 is incredibly aged compared to the others. If you play it, play it first. And play the portable versions over the console ones. The portable ones add in things that help speed up the games/add features.

Hacking [PSP] La Pucelle Ragnarok Translation

Yeah, the major problem is that La Pucelle got released after Disgaea in the West, because Atlus went with Disgaea, and then Mastiff looked at the relative success of it and went "oh boy we gotta get on that" and released La Pucelle after. But since, mechanically, it's a bit of a step backwards...

Hacking [PSP] La Pucelle Ragnarok Translation

I honestly don't understand it much either, myself. LPR is not only a better port, but I think it's just a higher quality game in general than Phantom Kingdom (portable). Maybe it's because PKP had the free-movement stuff and has character creation, while La Pucelle was essentially the Disgaea...

Hacking Phantom Kingdom Portable: English Translation

In general, for the most part, NISA does some very good voice casting for their games. Makai Kingdom was an especially good case in terms of casting, especially for Overlord Zetta-- it's just a shame they couldn't keep Crispin Freeman in future games, but the voice actor industry, especially in...

La Pucelle Ragnarok is the game that had DLC, as well as Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days.

Hacking Phantom Kingdom Portable: English Translation

Yeah, if you have the stuff for it, the fact that this is a portable entry is a Big Thing. The only way you can really argue for the PS2 version in that area is if Sony A) Put PS2 Classics onto the Vita, and B) NISA gets off their butts and actually adds Makai Kingdom to PSN (among other games)

Hacking Phantom Kingdom Portable: English Translation

I... actually don't think there's any DLC for Phantom Kingdom Portable, from what I understand. The major addition is the Petta storyline. Honestly, it's up to you, but I think the PSP version looks a lot better compared to the PS2 one, due in part to the sprite sharpening option, and...

Hacking [PSP] La Pucelle Ragnarok Translation

Yeah, if it weren't for the fact that it's all in separate parts like that, you could likely easily convince people to go through the script in parts in order to fix things, but with how it's messed up, it's not very viable.

    Translation Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Tag Force 6 - Translation Project

A friend of mine is figuring the best chance of TFSpecial coming over would be once the Arc-V dub actually starts airing here. I know there's working on the voice work for it right now, so who knows. Least otherwise, it is out now on the JP PSN, and it's best to keep mentioning it to Konami...

Gaming La Pucelle Ragnarok sound problem

Strange, I haven't had a sound problem. Have you made sure you're using the latest version of your emulator or whatever? That might be the problem.

Hey, just wanna chime in: Looking great! Tag Force 6 looked so good, it's such a shame it was never brought over. Here's hoping for Tag Force Special, at least.
