    Final.Fantasy.XIII.X360-Allstars

8 hours into it. Really enjoying it so far. Fighting system is fast and fun. I hated FF12, but 13 rocks! Only thing that really annoys me is Vanille.

Hacking Building a Chiip programmer..... need some help.

Yep they are all soldered together. There is no "trick" to it. Just do what the diagram says. Oh, when connecting the pins on the IC chip, in the diagram you are looking from top down, NOT bottom up. This got me the first time

Hacking DS Lite touch screen problems

Hi All, Been having problems with the touch screen on my DS lite recently...just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing or has any solutions for me Problem is that the entire right side of the screen doesn't seem to be calibrated correctly. The left side is fine, just the...

    Hacking programmer for chiip

Haha yeah I did the same thing when I built my programmer (reversed the connections). Good luck man, I'm sure it'll work when you fix the connections.

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

Curse the tri-wing screws...I'm still waiting for the screw driver I ordered from ebay. I've got everything else and I already built the chiip and programmer....just can't open the Wii!

Hacking Is there a reason for burning at low speeds?

It DOES make a difference what speed you burn it. I haven't tried any Wii games but on my old old PS2 the difference between 4x and 8x if quite noticeable. The games actually boots much more often and with less DRE's during gameplay when I burn at 4x. However the quality of the media is...

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

I don't think the WiiFree code will work because it is for a PIC chip. Chiip uses AVR chips. You might be able to make a few modifications to the source and re-compile it if you know how.... Wiip should be easier to to flash on to a Chiip when it becomes available....

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

Well I built my programmer and flashed the chip (thanks Takrin for the avrdude download). The flashing went fine with no errors reported. I went to open up my Wii but the tri-wing screws are stopping me...grrr... I had a few tri wing bits but they are too big to fit into the Wii's screws...

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

I received my order from futurlec today (ordered on the 27/02, received 05/03). I didn't have any bad experience with them at all. They emailed two days after i placed my order saying they had shipped it. The package came shipped from Thailand, everything inside was well packaged and...

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

Well another difference between the PI and PU version is that PI is 16Kb while PU 8Kb (according to futurlec). 16kB of what, I'm not sure. I'm assuming program(firmware) size, or maybe RAM, or maybe combined? Either way I don't think we need more than 8kB for the chiip, as the author himself...

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

The chiip site now recommends ATMEGA8L-8PU (instead of 8PI), which is even cheaper (2.60 US).

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

Jaycar is a bit more expensive than it need be (but probably the fastest option if you live near by). Like I said in the previous post, I ordered all my parts from www.futurlec.com. They ship locally to AUS and to the US (and some other places). I even got the 3.3V version of the chip...

    Hacking wiip vs chiip

I've ordered the Chiip already. It's hard to find fault with it considering how cheap the components are. Only negative thing about the chiip atm is that apparently some original games no longer work after installing the chiip. The author says this will soon be fixed with a software upgrade...

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

Well I just ordered all the parts, I'll try this out when I get them. It's just too cheap to resist. All the parts listed in the guide (along with some extra resistors), cost me ~$11 US, including shipping. For all aus readers, the best place I could find to buy them is...
