Nintendo sends DMCA notices for "syspatch-updater" homebrew app by iTotalJustice

So basically cut off even MORE features that even the Wii or Wii U had? How does that benefit the user? Nintendo can only go so far before people start expecting basic web browsing or video playback from the fucking thing, something Xbox and PlayStation have been doing since the PS2 and original...

Nintendo sends DMCA notices for "syspatch-updater" homebrew app by iTotalJustice

Waiting on Russia or China to host/make one. I mean if the US is already spying on me, I don't care if Russia and China do too. :tpi:

Oh, plz Nintendo not us, we're not infringing any copyrights! *changes domain name to NomadTemp*

Nintendo sends DMCA notices for "syspatch-updater" homebrew app by iTotalJustice

You're right, I should specify "big corpos from the same country/allies", because god forbid someone else spies other than themselves.

Hard to see that happening, gov has always favoured big corpos instead of the usual citizen, in any country, but in the US that is way more prominent. They prefer to protect their billion dollar corpo friends than to give customers any kind of legal right to enjoy what they bought for years to...

Nintendo sends DMCA notices for "syspatch-updater" homebrew app by iTotalJustice

Amen. :grog: As soon as Prime 4 gets released, I'm done with anything Nintendo going forward. A Steam Deck or a proper gaming PC will do it from there on, they completely lost a customer here. The only way I'd see myself going back to purchasing their shit is if they open a Steam-like store...

Nintendo sends DMCA notices for "syspatch-updater" homebrew app by iTotalJustice

Don't forget that they're not selling any legacy games from their older consoles. They Nintendo Switch Online service is nothing but a rental/streaming service in the same kind of Netflix, sure you can play/see them, but good luck owning a thing. This is Nintendo's way of not giving customers...

Nintendo sends DMCA notices for "syspatch-updater" homebrew app by iTotalJustice

They're pulling a Gamecube -> Wii kind of thing, just with some revamped (and non-easy-RCM) hardware. Good since this means people could start looking elsewhere for flaws to get into the console.

Nintendo sends DMCA notices for "syspatch-updater" homebrew app by iTotalJustice

Nintendo is back at it again with their latest and most well known franchise, the DMCA, and this time they went after quite a handful of GitHub repositories with their DMCA strikes. The latest and most notable repository attacked by Nintendo's DMCA is the "sigpatch-updater" homebrew application...

Capcom survey asks fans directly which Resident Evil remake they'd like to see next

I also made a vote for Survivor, although CV and 5 of course should be priority at this point. Only Survivor 1 though, Survivor 2 is just a rehash of Code Veronica (with even Nemesis thrown in for some reason). Survivor 1 could have been great, have they made it into a proper tank controls game...

"Resident Evil 2 Remake" gets a fully playable fixed camera mod

Can't tell if people talking like that were dropped as infants. Most likely, but still, let's not get sidetracked from the topic :P

"Resident Evil 2 Remake" gets a fully playable fixed camera mod

I found a full playthrough with the fixed camera mod on YouTube from a Russian Youtuber called CRAZY IVAN: It's impressive to see how the auto-aim works with certain enemies and bosses, seems like you can slightly adjust the aim by moving the gun up, down, left or right, and doing that...

"Resident Evil 2 Remake" gets a fully playable fixed camera mod

There's something about just seeing the Licker around a corner, idling, while knowing you have to get through there. Amazing stuff for sure!

"Resident Evil 2 Remake" gets a fully playable fixed camera mod

The red laser from the video is way too bright for my taste, but thankfully that seems to be customizable as well for a more OG experience. I'm curious to know how the Ivy zombies are gonna be handled, as well as other hit-point specific dependant enemies.

Lowering the resolution should give a similar effect. Lowest it can go is 640x480, around 480p, and it gives this look:

"Resident Evil 2 Remake" gets a fully playable fixed camera mod

That combined with the classic costumes and the classic OST is just the Remake we all wanted in the vein of REmake The ONLY thing I hate about RE2 Remake when it's handled through Fixed Camera is how awful the running animation looks for the playable characters.

"Resident Evil 2 Remake" gets a fully playable fixed camera mod

The Resident Evil 2 Remake released back in 2019 to high acclaim, with the incredible features that the RE Engine brings to the table, which was previously used in Resident Evil 7, it's high quality visuals, audio and retelling of the original and beloved Resident Evil 2 story that many still...
