Xbox One backwards compatibility list only contains 21 games so far

Eurogamer had a report of some testing done by digital foundry: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-vs-backwards-compatibility-on-xbox-one Seems FPS is the big complaint.

Gaming Nintendo, Thank You So Much!!

I received one as well this morning and I have an ambassador n3ds. I did register my mm3ds but only on Friday so I doubt it's linked. Looks like an ambassador freebie (or someone pressed the wrong button at NOE HQ)

    Hacking Nintendont

Thanks - but this should probably be a proper fix, rather than ensuring that hidden control chars are correct in a text file. Removes the possibility of file issues. I've just tested the altered code and it works correctly with UNIX and WINDOWS files (probably because the last char of a line...

    Hacking Nintendont

Just spend the best part of 2 hours tracking down an issue with HIDinit not working after I upgraded from 1.1 to 1.47. Seems like nintendont doesn't like to read UNIX style files, only WINDOWS..... The actual line that causes the failure is in HID.c (line 390 _sprintf ) was brought in in r20...

    Hacking Nintendont

I was having issues with Global.h so maybe someone recapitalised the filenames before loading into SVN - not sure whether they get tracked as changes (i only use SVN if I'm forced too - otherwise git is the tool of choice for me!)

    Hacking Nintendont

Are you compiling on Linux by chance? Seems the build scripts are all designed for Windows which is case-insensitive. I had exactly the same trouble, but CBA to alter all the files/filenames to make the build work. edit: the files are also in DOS format, so have a liberal sprinkling of ^M...

    Hacking Nintendont

Yep - although now there is a "multiIn" controller setting I was going to give it another go to see if that made any difference. Magic box works a treat though :-)

    Hacking Nintendont

Mine turned up today, but still have the spinning c-stick issue - so I guess the fix isn't in the current code yet? Is it just a different controller.ini file, or is this something that needs to be applied to the nintendont code? Do you have the details? TIA

Thanks for clearing that up. Guess i'll go and get a joy box instead then.

Is this fix compiled into the standalone hidtest as well? Seeing as the joy box is also made by mayflash I'm wondering if my GC to USB adapter might work now too.

    Hacking Nintendont

Yes - nothing happens. I can mash away merrily but nothing is displayed on screen. Just to check the adapter is working, I've loaded up dolphin and am happily playing luigis mansion (well, as happy as I can be with my frame rate..) Edit: if your interested, this is what my mac reports the USB...

Tried both back ports and nothing I'm afraid. Tried with a wavebird and a set of trusty DK Bongos (my daughter seems to have hidden my GC controller today!!!). The adapter also has two ports and I tried both of them individually and at the same time... Here is the screencap

Hmm - I bought one in Monday and I couldn't get it to work on hid test. I was only using the front ports though (couldn't be bothered to disconnect drives to test at the time). It was one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0089NVTDM

Hacking Can anyone confirm if new Wii U update effects homebrew in vWii?

Just tested on mine and can confirm that my WiiU complains about the TV being off. Sony TV (only a year or so old), connected via HDMI. If the TV is off (well, in standby) and I power up the WiiU and hold B, then I get a screen on the gamepad complaining about the TV: If I turn on the TV...

Hacking vWii crashing when USB drive is initialized

I've had similar issues witha 500Gb 2.5" drive with a y-cable too. In the end, I solved it by using a direct power source from a wall power socket (a USB charger into the y-cable). I've also successfully used a powered USB hub, which suggests that sometimes the power output from the WIIU USB...

Misc Has anyone attempted to abuse the Nintendo Zone streetpass relay?

Hmm, I might just swap them round then to make Nintendo the first ssid, and set my normal ssid as the vap. Gonna have to mess further with the bridge set up though to separate out the networks.
