It turns out that I had to go to "software" options under Data Managment, then my 3ds fixed the SD and now everything works fine :D Thanks guys!- hcwdikk

Well..I have managed to update my 3ds to version 4.4.0...but -4 didn't go away :( I'm still nowhere near -7...is that a problem? Does smealum hack work right now? His website seems to be...struggling (qr codes won't generate).- hcwdikk

Whoa, cool :D Thanks a lot! I'll try it out :) And yea, I'm regretting buying r4i but since I'm not playing any games on my 3ds I don't wany to spend money on other flashcards. Also my 3ds is from USA but I live in Europe so I'd have to import some kind of a game just to update my firmware :(- hcwdikk

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here
Hello, I have recieved a R4i deluxe today and I'd like to know which firmware is safe to use. On thier website it says V3.0~V3.3 are unsafe but what about 3.3b? Or should I just use v2.0? Thanks!- hcwdikk

Hacking which games come bundled with update 4.5.0?
Does anyone know what happens when Gateway is run on console with firmware lower than 4.1? Eg 2.1. I suppose it won't work, but did anyone try?- hcwdikk

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons. -

Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.+1

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
