ROM Hack [WIP] Taiko no Tatsujin: Don to Katsu no Jikuu Daibouken - English Translation

It's been a long time. Team Fullcombo has long since dissolved and I haven't even touched my 3DS outside replacing its swollen battery a while ago. At this point, I would highly recommend just playing the Switch releases given that they are out officially, in english! I know not everyone has...

The EverDrive GBA X5 Mini is now available to order

Probably an EZ-Flash Reform (just a re-released IV) or Omega if you are concerned the MOST about price. Omega is neat but as others have mentioned it uses a lot more power than other carts and can be funny with saves if you don't wait after saving your game for a sec or two.

The EverDrive GBA X5 Mini is now available to order

Dang, here's hoping these make it onto StoneAgeGamer sooner than later. Tried three times to order one off the site Krikzz linked on twitter but couldn't process the payment successfully. My cards must not like being used there for whatever reason... :/

Homebrew [Release][DSi] Title Manager for HiyaCFW

nds-hb-menu apparently has to be re-compiled with devkitPro to solve an issue with banner sizes being read incorrectly from the DSi menu. On the first page, GameYob and another homebrew are posted with this fix applied. If anyone would be willing to re-compile the latest commit of nds-hb-menu...

Hacking [WIP] Taiko Drum Master: V Version - Translation Project

With the new patch I uploaded, I made it so that you don't have to transfer the file as decrypted anymore via FTP, so now you can just transfer the file normally via USB (or without opening the folder as decrypted first in VitaShell). I figured that way it would be easier to transfer for most...

Hacking [WIP] Taiko Drum Master: V Version - Translation Project

I don't remember if it did or not. From what I remember, the song maps from this were able to work on other versions but not vice versa? @DarkSynopsis might be able to confirm.

Hacking [WIP] Taiko Drum Master: V Version - Translation Project

Hmm, you have the RePatch plugin installed and everything as well? That's odd, the game shouldn't error out like that. Let me know if it keeps happening!

Hacking [WIP] Taiko Drum Master: V Version - Translation Project

Alright, I just uploaded a new patch that I verified and everything to work with the normal, vanilla version of the data_release.l7c file that you would get just from downloading and transferring it to your PC, no finagling with VitaShell and FTP required! This should work for you guys! Here is...

Hacking [WIP] Taiko Drum Master: V Version - Translation Project

Hmm, just checked and your checksums are correct. I think what I messed up on was that I made the patch for decrypted versions of the data_release.l7c file. Back when the only dumping methods were Vitamin and MaiDumpTool, that's the kind of file you'd end up getting. I'll try to fix that in a...

    Homebrew [Release] Half-Life (Xash3DS)

Holy hell! This is awesome! Just ran through the hazard course and I am so impressed! It looks and feels good, even though it's still just an experimental build. Super awesome to see, MasterFeizz!

Homebrew What's better? Big Blue Menu, or FBI?

FBI 100%. Haven't used BBM in a long, long time. No use for it. Everything you could want to install will install perfectly fine with FBI. FBI also has a lot more functions than just installing titles such as basic file browsing utilities, QR code scanning and the ability to push files to the...

    PS1/2 PS2 SCPH-70003 (V12) Hacks in 2018

The PS2NetBox is a really neat concept, I can't deny that. I saw it on PSX-Scene back when it started shipping and was pretty intrigued. I've seen similar things done via a Raspberry Pi as well, but everything being all in one box like the PS2NetBox is appealing. If only it had caught on more...

Hacking [WIP] Taiko Drum Master: V Version - Translation Project

Unfortunately you have to transfer the original data_release.l7z file to your computer via FTP since VitaShell cannot decrypt through USB. It is slower, but it is the only way to obtain the decrypted version of the file for use with the patch.

Hacking [WIP] Taiko Drum Master: V Version - Translation Project

Did you transfer over the data_release.l7z via FTP or USB? If FTP did you open the directory "as decrypted" before connecting in with your FTP client? Anything more specific? Does the game just not boot? Are you running a physical copy or download? What firmware version are you on?

Hacking [WIP] Taiko Drum Master: V Version - Translation Project

Hey guys! After a lot of delays and broken promises, I've decided to just release everything I've got as a work-in-progress beta patch. It is still incomplete, with the majority of the story still MIA, but at least most of the graphics are translated in their entirety. There are some issues...

Dark Souls Remastered gets Switch release date, along with network test.

So long as it runs well Bandai Namco (or whichever studio they got to port it) can take as much time as they need in my opinion! The port probably just needed some more time in the oven to get it running better. I am sure it was no small feat bringing the game to a platform like the Switch.

Gaming Dead Cells is awesome but runs like crap on the Switch

You know what's odd to me though is that I feel the game isn't really 2D. If you stand still a bit and look at the "sprites" they seem a lot more like they are down-res'ed 3D models more than they are 2D pixel art. That and the numerous post-processing effects going on in the game could explain...

Taiko game for Switch appears on Australian ratings board, hinting at western release

Hori is releasing an official drum peripheral alongside the game in Japan. On top of that, touch, button and motion controls are already confirmed for the game. Lots of options, but unfortunately I don't think using a PS2 drum is one of them :ha:
