Homebrew RELEASE CFWsetup All-in-One Python App

For what purpose, exactly? All this does is affirm my above point (devs pretending to not be pirates when they always were pirates). Why go to such lengths to be a hypocrite?

Homebrew RELEASE CFWsetup All-in-One Python App

I've already tested it without any ill effect on my Switch. That being said, I can somewhat see the OP's argument here. "Offensive" jokes aside (which by the way, this is the internet, and 4chan is well known for having a bit of a bite), this is pretty much what you want from CFW. You're an...

NIS America to bring Trails of Cold Steel III west this year

I find it strange how people are complaining about NISA (rightfully so), yet people here are giving XSeed a pass when they're notorious for incorrect translations and injecting memes into their games. Both Cold Steel and Senran Kagura got butchered in the localization process.

Hacking Discussion Team Xecuter Attempted to Bribe RetroNX Developers

The point being made here is there are no heroes involved. What TX does certainly falls into the gray zone of legality (or even the illegal zone, depending on how you look at it). The issue at hand is how the people with their "homebrew" like to perpetually pretend they're honest saints with no...

Hacking Discussion Team Xecuter Attempted to Bribe RetroNX Developers

And certainly they should. The problem here is everyone has an absolute raging hard-on for hating SXOS to the point that everything they do is Satanic. Having the actual facts in the open (SX offered multiple options, and m4xw was the one who wanted money) means it's far less of a "bribe" and...

Hacking Discussion Team Xecuter Attempted to Bribe RetroNX Developers

You basically made my point for me. China's government will basically do nothing about patent/copyright infringement. While on paper they're part of various agreements, it's only for show to benefit them on the trade side of things. The dilemma at hand is that if you do sue some Chinese company...

They can, to no effect. In order for patent laws to actually work, both nations must agree to them. As in, if I were in country X and you were in country Y and I violated your patent in country Y, country X would only do something about it if they acknowledged country Y's patents. China in...

Hacking Discussion Team Xecuter Attempted to Bribe RetroNX Developers

While I do agree that it's silly, China as a nation does not recognize US copyright or patents. They've made that very clear on multiple occasions. They also do not prosecute individuals for violating US copyrights or patents.

Hacking Discussion Team Xecuter Attempted to Bribe RetroNX Developers

What I find absolutely hilarious is people claiming that accepting this offer (yes, an offer, not a bribe) would be illegal. Meanwhile you're all sitting here using Switches with unauthorized modifications to play pirated games (yes, it's still pirating even if the game is 30 years old, and I...

Hardware Nintendo, Please Fix Your Repair Center

That nonsense is exactly why I buy from Amazon, along with why I NEVER send items for repairs. At least for me, Amazon will accept anything back, no questions asked, and give me a full refund or replacement. Heck, I've sent back opened videogames and gotten a full refund (curse the Vita TV and...

Hacking Gateway news update on 11.3 support status

What's funny is how people mock Gateway when they're the ones who gave you everything you have today. I fully agree that Gateway is basically useless right now (save for their vastly superior cheat system), but the fact remains that Gateway: 1.) Gave us the first proper method to load back ups...

Hacking Gateway 3ds site down? Also question

Their site is up for me right now. According to some folks on Maxconsole, they were just fixing some things which required the site to be down for maintenance.

    Hacking Vitamin 2.0 available

You should be able to, so long as the DLC created a game folder. Maidumptool has MUCH better compatibility with dumping DLC, so give that try.

    Hacking Vitamin 2.0 available

Good grief is Flow whiny and dramatic (the same applies to Yifan too, for that matter). The lot of them could just stay silent, be polite, and release updates as they're ready. Instead of doing that, Flow pulls people along with "oh yeah I got DLC to work", only to bait and switch with...

Hacking Would you ever recommend Gateway's Time Machine a9lh install?

As someone who has had a Gateway due to owning it back in the 4.5 firmware days, that would be fantastic. I've since shelved it because Luma suits all my needs just fine (thanks to neat stuff like loading tricky DLC properly and the N3DS overclock option), but if people could somehow manage to...

Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star coming to PS4/Vita winter 2016

It's pretty niche due to the nature of the game. The problem is that if you don't like Dynasty Warriors, you won't like any of the other games (Hyrule Warriors, Fate/Extella, etc). However, this game is being made by Tamsoft, not Koei Tecmo. As in, it's being made by the same team that made...

ROM Hack [Mod?] Changing MH Gen's ugly font?

If it's that simple, I could do it myself in a matter of moments. The font for the fan translation is stored in "romfs > system > font". I guess I'll go digging around in the EU ROM and see what I can find (and if it's as simple as a quick replacement).

ROM Hack [Mod?] Changing MH Gen's ugly font?

Short version: Can MH Gen's hideous font be changed out for the font used in the fan translation of MH X or a similar font? Long version: Having just successfully transferred my MHX save to MHGen, the first thing I noticed was the absolutely terrible font. It's fuzzy, it's stretched and...

Hacking [Help needed] HBL/Loadiine refuse to launch

UPDATE: I bit the bullet and updated, and for lo and behold, it instantly worked on the first try. Everything is running flawlessly now. Thanks a lot to everyone who put up with my nonsense and helped me sort this mess. I'm still baffled as to what was preventing it in the first place though...

Hacking [Help needed] HBL/Loadiine refuse to launch

I'm tempted to update it, but knowing my luck it would still not work somehow. Honestly though, from what I've seen, the current setup (which works on 5.5.1 too) can do basically everything (homebrew, backups, etc) except for play games online, which I don't care much about.
