Homebrew Homebrew Browser and WiiMC suddenly stopped working

I'm on 4.2U, and I haven't used my Wii for may be a week now. Today I booted up my Wii, and opened WiiMC, and it just got stuck on the loading screen. I thought that maybe I just need to update to the latest version. So I open Homebrew Browser, and it also gets stuck at "Found repositories". CFG...

Gaming My Rant to Apple Haters

I don't know if this has already been said before (too lazy to read through 15 pages), but Apple did not invent the GUI or multitouch. Xerox invented GUI, which then was stolen by Apple and Microsoft, and multitouch was in place long before Apple introduced the iPhone, although they were the...

Homebrew Emerald save file is corrupted every time in VBA GX

bump, I played for 1 hour today, then I accidentally loaded the screenshot, instead of saving. It would be nice if someone helped...

Homebrew Emerald save file is corrupted every time in VBA GX

Also, time doesn't work either. I read that you could enable time in VBA, but I'm pretty sure that's the PC version, because there is no time option in VBA GX.

Homebrew How do i run ISOs on my wii?

What's wrong with Vista? Everyone hates on Vista, because back in 2005 people bought crappy $300 laptops that were too weak to run it. Vista SP2 is pretty much the same thing as Windows 7. It's about as much a jump as from Leopard to Snow Leopard (translation: not much). Mac OSX is decent, but...

Homebrew Emerald save file is corrupted every time in VBA GX

Every time I open Emerald, it says the save file is corrupted. I've done some searching, and I figured out that I need to use a 128 kb file (or am I wrong?) But I can't find that option in the menu. How do I fix this? I spent 2 hours yesterday on it, and the save file got corrupted and I have to...

Hacking Have You Used Multiple USB Loaders on Your Wii?

Go with CFG like this guy said. The interface doesn't look that good, but it gets updated every week with new features, and isn't as buggy as GX.

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

Only $60? I guess that's OK, since that's the same fee as Apple (1/2 of price to replace). I think that since the DS Lite is so old, they can replace it because ti costs almost nothing to reproduce. Opening it would cost even more money for labor than just giving a new one. If that $60 includes...

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

Ha, I won't leave my Acekard in there. It doesn't even fit any more. I think I found the problem- there is a huge bulge right under where the battery should be. What do you think that is? The volume button? Or Did I break something? Also, would Home Depot or Lowe's take out the screw? Thanks guys.

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

Chill out. You don't need to get all worked up about this. I've had this DS for about 3 years, and I know the 3DS is right around the corner. It's not really a big deal, but I was about halfway through DQIX, and I really wanted to beat it. And I said like 3 times that the screw is in a pretty...

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

Remember, the volume button fell off inside the DS, and I don't think I can reattach it. I don't think it will cost $100, as another guy said he got a DS Phat fixed for $60 shipping included.

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

Good idea, but the screw is about 1/2 cm (rough estimate) in a deep hole. And I don't have a screw driver small enough. I think I'll call tommorrow, and I'll update everyone on how much it will be. I don't think repairs will be $100. It will probably be about $60 (half price). When I cracked my...

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

Yeha, that's why I was hesitant on calling Nintendo. Do you think that they would fix it if I said I was trying to do a DIY button fix? I now that would void the warranty, but I don't have one. And it's not just removing the screw, it's realigning whatever I popped. I never said I wanted to fix...

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

I said I can't get a replacement shell as the screw is messed up. I think I'll jsut call Nintendo and see what the damage is. EDIT: I think I bent my DS out of shape when I was trying to get that last screen off. I hope the repair won't be over $100.

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

A replacement shell wouldn't help, because the screw is stuck in a really deep hole (check the upper left screw on your DS). I know what I was doing, I watched 4 different guides on how to open a DS. But the screw driver messed up, and now my DS is too. And when was I whining? Please read my...

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

So I should call Nintendo? I really was hoping that I could just use the online thing, but my serial no won't work. $60 seems a bit steep, as all they need to do is to remove a screw. And rearrange everything, and change the button pads...

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

I was going to say that I dropped it in an earlier post. How much would it cost for Nintendo to replace it? And what other professionals could help (where do I find them?) PS: Go pun somewhere else. EDIT: 18 people are reading this, but no one is posting.

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

Thanks for your help... I tried to enter my serial number on nuntendo for repair, and it doesn't work. For some reason, my DS was never registered. I don't want to call Nintendo, because I would have to lie over the phone, and I'm no good at that. Stupid screw.

Hacking I stripped a screw trying to open my DS Lite

I just checked eBay, and DS Lites are still like $120 bucks. That sucks. EDIT: Do you think a repair shop could easily fix it?
