Best permanent CFW option for a new/unused PSP 3000 at OFW 6.10?

Ah okay, so that's the one most people are using these days? I thought maybe it would lead to faster boot times if you flashed CFW directly on PSP's with old enough OFW (pretty sure that's how I did it back on my old spirited green PSP). But if this essentially does the same thing, I guess it...

Best permanent CFW option for a new/unused PSP 3000 at OFW 6.10?

I just got a new/never used kingdom hearts edition Japanese PSP 3000 and it comes with OFW 6.10. I haven't done much with a PSP in over 10 years but I remember being able to put "permanent" CFW on systems with a low enough OFW on it. I see now that there are several methods (including Infinity...

    Hacking PSP hacking/modding F.A.Q.

Not sure I'll get a response here but I just got a new/unused PSP (2009 era, kingdom hearts edition from Japan) and it's on the 6.10 OFW. I'm notice different CFWs being mentioned around here and I was wondering what the best option is for mine? I'd like to have the permanent one where once I...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Thanks a lot for the link! I had a feeling that was the recommended guide, just wanted to make sure. This is kind of an aside, but is it recommended to use separate SD cards if you want to use your Switch for both OFW and CFW, or is it safe enough to use like a dualboot setup on the same card...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Well, I think I'm finally ready to break out my "new" launch model switch and try to put CFW on it. I have two micro sd's (one for OFW and another for CFW, although I'm not sure if it's all that important to keep things separate?), a jig, and a payload injector. I notice several different sites...

EZ Flash Junior issue -- Final Fantasy Adventure save disappears once I save, or load a save, from a different game.

Yes, just tested the roms on romhacking.net and they are both valid. I can't imagine what could be causing this issue. Edit: I solved the issue! I finally had the thought to check the SAVER folder while inserted into the PC to see if the files for the games with the saving issue were there and...

EZ Flash Junior issue -- Final Fantasy Adventure save disappears once I save, or load a save, from a different game.

Just updated and the problem still persists :(. It looks like the save file isn't being created for this game because whenever I reboot, the "saving..." screen goes by really fast. For the other games, it takes at least a few seconds. I just can't figure out why this one particular game isn't...

EZ Flash Junior issue -- Final Fantasy Adventure save disappears once I save, or load a save, from a different game.

Hi, yes I do have auto save enabled. Should I disable it? I'm not using the beta FW yet. I'm using the latest release FW4, 1.4e Edit: I tried turning off auto-save, and sadly, there was no change in behavior.

EZ Flash Junior issue -- Final Fantasy Adventure save disappears once I save, or load a save, from a different game.

I just bought an EZ Flash Junior recently and for the most part it's been pretty nice. The main annoyance I'm dealing with is losing save files for Final Fantasy Adventure. I save the game, I wait the 5+ seconds, and I reset the EZ Flash using the button on the back and it seems like it's not...

EZ Flash Junior not triggering Gameboy mode unless I hold cartridge down.

I've been messing around with the cartridge slot a ton today and I think you might be right about the switch being too strong, or maybe not sticking out enough. I tried putting a few layers of tape on the Junior (on the side with the switch) to make it thicker and it actually started Gameboy...

EZ Flash Junior not triggering Gameboy mode unless I hold cartridge down.

I just tried pushing the switch down with a thin screwdriver while booting it and it doesn't seem to work. Just keeps showing the GBA bootup screen. I guess that means something is messed up with the cartridge slot? Ugh, that really sucks if that's the case. It took almost a month to get the...

EZ Flash Junior not triggering Gameboy mode unless I hold cartridge down.

I just bought a new modded GBA from Funnyplaying's eBay page (one with an ITA screen) and I've noticed various questionable things about it (like the screen having these faint/faded vertical and horizontal lines that can be seen when holding it at an angle, and some image ghosting which is worse...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

It looks like the error code is 007-2001. Even if I end up not being able to resolve this, I'm not too worried about it--especially with the eshop closing soon for the 3DS. (I'm not sure if that will extend to updating games or not though? Will we still be able to do that once the eshop closes?)...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Man, you really saved me a ton of headache with your post! I did everything you suggested and the issues I was having seem to be corrected now (freezing when going back to home from notifications, R4 card not working, etc). The only thing I'm still not able to do is use the eshop; it gives me an...

    Homebrew OPEN_AGB_FIRM discussion thread

Anyone using an o2DS or o3DS, by chance? The picture seems a lot darker than on my N3DS XL so I was thinking of adjusting the backlight/gamma/brightness settings. Any recommendations?

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

So I just bought a Japanese 2DS without realizing that there wasn't an English language option. I probably should have known this but I figured Luma3DS would have a way to change the system language after the fact anyway. Since that doesn't seem to be the case (from what I've read), what are the...

Homebrew DS(i) NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Ahh okay, that clarifies it perfectly. Using the official DSi Menu doesn't matter to me, so I think I'll just go with TWI and Unlaunch. Thanks again for the help!

Homebrew DS(i) NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Yeah, I had read about the internal NAND being a little iffy, so that was a concern. That being the case, I'm a little confused; does that mean installing HiyaCFW is a good idea then, or is it possible to use the SDNAND with just Twilight and Unlaunch? I wanted to set mine up the way most people...

Homebrew DS(i) NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Ah okay, so I guess I don't even need to bother with HiyaCFW? Or is there a benefit to using the NAND from the SD instead of internally? Thanks very much for the help!

Homebrew DS(i) NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Probably another stupid question but I was wondering: Once I finish all the steps using the https://dsi.cfw.guide on my new DSi, is there anything special I need to do in order to use my R4 card on it, or is it pretty much just plug and play? And do I need to be on HiyaCFW when I do it, or...
