Okay i translated the japanese text in pokemon heart gold and ss i did some of the story text but what im asking is how you put the (yourname.xml) file and compile to the hg and ss rom i already translated but how do i compile it so i can play and check what ive done- KillzMo

I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though -

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.+1 -

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
