Give-away GBAtemp 20th Anniversary giveaway - WEEK THREE - Win an Analogue Pocket - 24hrs remain!

Loved playing all the homebrew stuff that came out of the GBA scene back in the day.

1852 - Garfield The Search For Pooky (E)

The last Calvin and Hobbes, for the uninformed.

    1814 - Cinnamon - Yume no Daibouken (J)

I played the last Cinnamon game for a while. It was one of those puzzle games and it had me for a bit.

1772 - Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge (U)

It reminds me of Stunts on the PC. http://www.mobygames.com/game/shots/p,2/gameId,329/ Man that game was good. I put a good chunk of time into that one.

    1737 - Wanko de Kururin Wancle (J)

This game is a lot deeper than I originally thought. The second option on the main menu is a story mode with puzzle fighter-like battles with different characters. So far my dog has fought a cat, a hamster, a dandelion, and a fairy.

    Long time listener

I've been here a while posting and everything, but I never made a formal introduction.

    1714 - SD Gundam Force (U)

Amen. They should bring the Robot Wars strategy series over here as well. And more Fire Emblem, please.

    1713 - Who Wants To Be A Millionaire 2nd Edition (E)

Apparently in some countries, when you ask the audience, they try to mislead you.

    1703 - Mawaru Made in Wario (J)

I used FATv8 and it seemed to work. Left and right work the tilt and if you hold B it amplifies your tilt for quick movements, like the ones required for the first boss.

DSdev.org has some more info on the wireless and SRAM saves. http://dsdev.org/

    1694 - Mario Pinball Land (U)

My save file didn't seem to work. The game isn't that bad. At least it's an original mario game for the GBA.

1670 - Bubble Bobble Old And New (U)

I prefer the original NES music. Even the music in the "Old" version can't compare. The "New" music is interesting, but not my style.

1658 - Star Wars Trilogy Apprentice Of The Force (E)

Somehow this reminds me of Aladdin for the Genesis. I keep expecting Jafar to come out with his parrot and say "Luke, I am your father" Okay the cantina music in the second level just sealed the deal for me.

    How about a rss feed?

I'm using Feedreader and it works fine. Thanks for the feed. Makes my browsing so much more simple. http://www.feedreader.com/

    1630 - Super Mario Ball (J)

Can someone give me a primer translation of the menu options?

    1628 - DragonBallZ Supersonic Warriors (E)

Hey, don't forget the credits. I watched them scroll every time I beat a game. And at the very end, it would have the logo of the company that made the games.

    GABSharkY v1.2 Released

That would be beyond cool. I don't know why every app doesn't let you customize the key combos.

    1523 - Ultimate Card Games (U)

Herg's line of card and dice games is a nice series of homebrew games for GBA. Check it. http://www.geocities.com/hergtoler/gbdev.html

    1485 - GBA Video: SpongeBob Squarepants Vol. 1 (U)

I'm going to hazard a guess at Nintendo's future strategy here. GBA: 256mbit ~ 30min = TV show DS: 1gbit ~ 120min = Movie I wouldn't be surprised if they introduce a line of childrens videos (usually 90min or less) on the DS.

Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
