Hacking Using my DualShock 4 with my Wii (with control customization)?

Fair enough, and it does not. I only mentioned it because for me it was cheaper to buy two adapters than it was to buy 2 classic controllers, 2 guitars and a dance mat, and seemed less redundant. At the time they were cheaper than classic controllers alone. Not sure if that's still true now...

Hacking Using my DualShock 4 with my Wii (with control customization)?

Not sure if this helps or not, but I use a Dual shock 2 as my "classic controller". I picked up an adapter and it works just fine. Plugs into the Wii remote and plugs into the PS2 controller. Not sure the differences with a Dual shock 4, but the layout of a Playstation controller has remained...

    [Essentials] TurboGrafx-16 aka PC Engine

Updated. I'll try to come back in a bit and link game play videos for some of these that weren't on the list previously too.

    Homebrew NitroGrafx

I just recently got into the Y's series myself, but I haven't went back to the TG versions yet. I've been playing the PC ones on Steam. If you want them on the list, go to it and vote for them.

Gaming What's your favorite DS SHMUP?

Don't forget there's a port of Tyrian on DS, and that's pretty good. Nanostray and Nanostray 2 are both pretty awesome too. However I'm not sure I like Ketsui Death Label, too much of a boss rush type game for me, and I also find all the little squares flying at the ship quite distracting.

    Games you unintentionally played wrongly

Back when I was young and Final Fantasy 1 was a new thing I didn't realize that I had to equip my items in order to get the bonus from them. I would buy new things and the game would ask "who will take it" and I would give it to a guy, but never go equip it. I think I made it all the way through...

Hardware The 3DS 3D screen looks bad in 2D

I also picked mine up pretty early (ambassador 3DS, but not launch day), and mine doesn't seem that yellow to me. I haven't compared it side by side with a newer one, I've just gone by pictures and possibly just rumors on the net. Mine does have the issue of leaving lines on the top screen...

Hardware The 3DS 3D screen looks bad in 2D

Only on newer 3DS units. Nintendo switched to cheaper LCD screens around the time they reduced the price. The first 3DS units did not have this issue. All XL units however will have the newer yellowish screens. Nintendo doesn't think it's a problem though.

Gaming your thoughts on a AAA 3DS title

My two cents: Gameplay is more important than graphics. Also a good soundtrack helps. The game must be enjoyable to play without being too repetitive. There should be some puzzle or challenge. Not a fan of most FPS games. I do like top down shoot-em-ups, platformers, metroidvania games...

    Metroidvanias?

Although it doesn't fit the mobile requirement you should check out AM2R, it's a remake of Metroid II with updated graphics/some new stuff. PC only though. It's not fully complete but there is a very good demo. Also Cave Story can be run on a DS using either the ismart or DS Two port of...

SquareEnix: Why Final Fantasy Needs a Reboot!

I like the simpler games that are not about the angsty teen. I also started Final Fantasy with FF1 on NES. I loved the series for years. Final Fantasy VIII was playable because it looked good for the time and because the card game within it was kind of cool. After Final Fantasy IX, it started...

    [Essentials] TurboGrafx-16 aka PC Engine

Blazing Lazers is one of my favorite retro games. I need to try again to beat it. In the past I've only gotten to area nine. I understand there's some debug screen or something where you can get extra lives, but that's lame.

Yes it does! But I'm taking this as another vote for Blazing Lazers because that game is awesome. ;) Updated to post 35

    Frontends.

Cabrio is similar to Hyperspin if you're running Linux. It's possibly a little buggier too, but it is open source. edit: looks like it actually does have a Windows version, it's just not the most recent version. But there are notes on compiling it. Although by the time you get it set you you...

NES games that won't kill me?

I don't think I want to know this, since I have the game on my 3DS now... But I'll keep it in mind if I ever get super frustrated trying again. Haven't gotten that far yet though. Almost there, but I rarely get time to play it anymore.

NES games that won't kill me?

I played the original Zelda all the way through without dying (single sitting), but never could beat my shadow in Zelda II.
