    Transcoding to any lossy codec can never be better than the original, by definition. Doubly so for transcoding lossy to lossy, due to differently implemented psychoacoustic algorhythms. Still, if you must transcode mp3 -> aac then dbPowerAmp is worth a look.

    I should have been clearer. I was asking if there were any games that don't work under 1.45, as I haven't come across any yet. A lot of the concerns regarding firmware updates I've been reading about appear to be from people who want Edge to reach and maintain feature parity with the Cyclo DS...

    I haven't made a direct comparison between the two, but to my ears the DL Lite sounds fairly ordinary on headphones using both my Sennheiser CX300's and my Vsonic R02 Pro 2's. Tested using 192kbps MP3's under moonshell 2.05. I'm possibly biased, as I'm comparing the NDS to my iRiver and Cowon DAPs.

    Have you tried dealextreme.com? I know they stock the PQI 4GB MicroSDHC although I think they're on backorder at the moment. DX usually have great prices, but it pays to be patient.

    I've recently purchased a limited edition Mario DS lite and it has no problems with my Edge DS flashcart. A repair/replacement shouldn't pose any problem at all... the DSi on the other hand is another matter entirely.
