I particularly love the Japanese one, because Japan officially "doesn't have a religion" and the majority of people are "atheist" but everyone is hardcore into Shintoist practices.+1 -

@Veho, I suspect a lot of people here that say they are Christian are either satanic or atheist and just use religion as a method of controlling others. -

Yes but there is a huge societal pressure to conform to the norms which in the West are reinforced with religious beliefs while in Japan they are just enforced by old people, but thanks to the declining birth rates and everything, old people are the overwhelming majority so there's no escape.+1

they also like to mix-n-match traditions in a rather secular way, like a lot of japanese ppl tend to have shintoist christenings (or what their equivalent is called), christian weddings and buddhist funerals

Hey now, they believe in Jesus. They believe Jesus came to Japan after his resurrection and lived the rest of his life as a fisherman in a tiny village somewhere.
