    Hacking Game backup issues

Well, I honestly didn't expect any replies and I wasn't about to sit around troubleshooting this even more as it has wasted plenty of my time already. I went ahead and restored my nand from before installing ModMii, updated only the IOS's that needed to be upgraded as well as specific Nintendo...

    Hacking Game backup issues

I recently ran ModMii (a few days ago) on my Wii to upgrade from 4.1U to 4.2U. Already had HBC, BootMii and Priiloader installed though I did have to reinstall Priiloader after the upgrade. I also installed the Dark / red system menu (very nice!). ModMii seemed to work fine, but I couldn't start...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Hi, XFlak. I've reinstalled both of those cIOS's and I can assure you that Fifa 2010 South Africa (sits on loading to start a game), Animal Crossing (black screen) and the already known BlackOps (DSI error) do not work with it. This just from testing a few games alone. No matter if I use CFG USB...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Hi, XFlak, DarkCorp v1.1 installed without issue and did not affect my Dark / red system menu though it did rebuild a patched IOS70 and IOS80 while installing, so that was a little disturbing. However, it appeared to build and patch them while using the systems installed IOS files which was...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Standard practice is to update the database file automatically. It wouldn't help a user to be using an older database file in fact it'd do them no good. I'd highly recommend the no-prompt method.

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Sorry, I probably should've mentioned that I've had BootMii @ boot2 installed since it was released and the same with Priiloader so I didn't reinstall them. Well, I did Priiloader when I used ModMii to upgrade to 4.2U. I'll make a new nand backup and load DarkCorp v1.1 and let you know how it...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Looks like I might have to consider that, though I did install the dark / red system menu with my 4.2U upgrade. Wouldn't installing DarkCorp v1.1 on top of it possibly brick my Wii?

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Hey, xFlak, I reinstalled DarkCorp 1.1 and that went through without issue, however, I cannot reinstall cios249 as I continually get the error ret -2011. So anything that relies on it, DVD backups, USB drives, do not install and/or work. SYS 4.1U

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

Yo can remove the 256MB SD card while the Wii is running. Restart the nand backup from scratch on the 2GB. Don't waste time trying to move the data from one to the other. Doubt it would work and even if it did it would cause more problems.

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

You mean it's no problem installing DarkCorp on top of your updates? Yes, I'd prefer it to start via the disc channel. NeoGamma now launches with IOS36 and says "DVD Read Err (1167) no cIOS". Seems like I need to reinstall IOS249 since after uninstalling the USB Loader Channel (not forwarder)...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

ModMii 4.5.0 -- on 4.1U already had Homebrew channel, Priiloader, BootMii installed and they appear to continue to run without issue. Couldn't use IOS236 initially because I didn't have it so I chose IOS249. Everything installed just fine. I chose 4.1U as a virgin setup, but mainly wanted to...

    Gaming Donkey Kong Country Returns

Thank you, darkranboria! I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the games in the DK series except for maybe DK64. It perfectly tops off a year that has seen some strong ups and downs in terms of games.

    Gaming Donkey Kong Country Returns

I bought it a few hours ago. Definitely worth the money buying. I'm on on 2-2, but I've been going back and forth to get puzzle pieces. I still want to put a it on my USB HDD for backup purposes. Is there a way to rip Wii disks nowadays without having an LG drive? That used to be the only way to...

Gaming How can next gen Wii be better?

Absolutely! You said it before I had a chance to And also, honestly, people want lesser peripherals, but truth be told Nintendo makes a ton of money off of these. I wouldn't see them or expect them to stop doing that. Can't blame them either.

Hacking New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Mine works fine off of USB and it works fine off the DVD with main.dol patched. Haven't updated to rev 15 and no mod chip. Will buy the game next weekend because it's worth buying.

Gaming Problem with my Wii, recuring error.

Definitely sounds like a lens problem, unless there's commonality with the DVD media you're using. You could try running a CD/DVD cleaner in your Wii and see if it helps clear it up.
