Actually you'll find the that the Windows guide that I helped DarkKnigh_t with for Windows 7 / 8.1 and 10 still does work, but requires an additional item.
You just need to use a dongle that has its own software for creating the...
So....can I just confirm before I sink £20 into one of these adapters...lol
Running Windows 8.1
New ASUS adapter. With custom firmware allowing me to create my own hotspot without any wireless security.
If that is the case I should be able to use any SSID relevant from the Spreadsheet such...
So if I was to use the Asus USB-N13 dongle you've suggested, because its got its own built in AP software and doesn't rely on Windows 8.1 in regards to the access point, I should be able to Macspoof by changing its MAC through say the command prompt with windows and I could just turn security...
Would you mind elaborating a bit more? Which WiFi dongle are you referring too?
I've got a little USB WiFi Network card that I could make a hotspot using Windows, but that means I'm restricted to Nzone then because there isn't any other way as I've only got Windows. And I want to be able to...
Not sure I want to risk it if I'm honest. I'm looking at the crappy routers my ISP have provided me over the years the Livebox, Livebox 1.2 and the Brightbox.
All I know is the Livebox's we're based on Thompson tech, considering there limited ability's I doubt I could write DD-WRT on them...
Nope I've just checked all of those out, not one of them is compatible with the router. I'm not sure if the Mini version of DD-WRT for version 8 of this router would possibly work though. There are some success stories on the forums at DD-WRT of people getting Version6 to work with the Mini version.
Here's the back of it. I accessed it and it states its WGR614v6 as in version 6? By that logic I'm guessing it might not be possible with this router.
Any help is appreciated at all as I still haven't figured out how I'm going to network all this together yet..lol...
Hey guys I'm back after being away for so long.
I can see that the method I made for Windows 7 & 8.1 is (pardon the pun) totally out the Window.
So I thought I'd have a crack at trying to Homepass with a router using DD-WRT, and if I have no luck i'll try NZone.
I found an old NETGEAR router...
Guys I should of mentioned:
I recently asked if its working for New Nintendo 3DS. Mines not the Japanese version. Mines the European Ambassador version they released.
Just wondering if anyone body has had any success yet with a New Nintendo 3DS (Non Japanese)
If not i'll be a guniea pig..lol
Yeh remove your settings from your 3DS.
You are right the guide is not very "complete" so to speak.
I find its best to check your status of your connection. If your using IP4 or IP6 make sure it has access to the Internet via a shared connection.
Check to see if any data packets are being...
As long as it comes up saying a Nintendo Zone is available your fine. Are you running BASE16 or BASE256?
BASE256 tends to not always work. I would recommend 16. Also try starting the Nintnedo Zone app as well. :)
UPDATE:
I've found on BASE16 that if you let it run the whole 30minutes it...
Make a point although its Dark Knights guide I figured it all out..thank you  lol
You don't need to delete anything just download the exe file and follow the instructions.
There all on page 10 of this thread.
A quick other point why its not working is because the NZones do no require a...
Ok...now i'm having problems...lol
Check the status of the Netowrk connection it shows there is no internet access and the connection is shared so....can't understand why it's done that?
Any help?
Your giving up to easy. Can confirm its still working my 3DS has been glowing green couple of times.
Try starting everything from the beginning again. I ususally find that fi you start from the beginnning than the problem wont happen.
Again though this is duke's application, so I can't say...
Ok thats fine so strange though it reckons i'm already running BASE 256. Can assure you i'm not though as my connection keeps cutting out every 30minutes...lol
Yeh I thnk it still won't work either as I'm sure the Nintendo Zones are flagged to not work with a password.
duke is the best guy to check with. Sure you need uptodate firmware though for passing.
Sorry I'm going to be a total n00b and ask how..lol? I right clicked the .exe file for properties but I have no idea what i'm doing.
Or do I set that in the Command Prompt?
However if you explain it I will probably understand :)
duke the link to maccheck.cmd never worked for me at all.
Otherwise I would of sent you the data. However I know my little USB Wifi Card can handle MAC changing, it seems I cant get passes easily on BASE 256 as more time is needed for my 3DS to establish a connection, or it could be my...

Heya....that guide that I wrote will no longer work. Check your firmware, if its on 9.4 you need to use Nuke's nzone.exe method.
I finally modeled and 3d printed the new HDD cages I need in order to build my 2nd NAS. Original ones don't fit the mounting holes on the hdds I'm using. Been sitting on this project for over 2 years smfh
Also another 70TB going in the front mount drive bays of this server. 182tb raw, going to probably use a zfs RAID-Z3 for 3 parity disks, so 140TB usable
I could claw back 14tb by only doing 2 parity disks but I feel like with 13 disks in the RAID I'd be kind of pushing my luck on rebuild time if I encounter a disk failure
