Hacking [RELEASE] PS4 RetroArch Port (Unofficial)

anybody know if there's a bsnes-hd core for this? I would very much like to have the option to play some of the widescreen snes patches and that seems like the only core to handle them properly

Homebrew Discussion Post homebrew ideas, suggestions, requests here

here's a very very niche idea, and the tesla menu is almost there a button input OSD that can be toggled that works in handheld and docked modes, for figuring out what you're hitting incorrectly for inputs in a game

ROM Hack [HELP] SNES VC Decrypting doesn't work

Wrong. The original version is vastly better overall. The PSP port took the story of Star Ocean and dumped it into the shitty SO2 engine adaptation they put on the system. There's no ambiance, there's no atmosphere to the game. That being said, the Snes9x emulator for 3DS plays it perfectly...

That's because of the new motherboard, not the new firmware.

Gaming gPSP question about Onimusha Tactics

I've tried to play this game for a couple days now, both zipped and unzipped, and I even got a different dump of it - I've tried the M7 dump and the #GBA dump, no matter how I try, when I select the rom it just kills gPSP. Is it incompatible or are they just bad dumps?

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
