    Gaming PSP-2000 / PSP-3000 Comparison

Brighter, more vivid screen is a big improvement, in my opinion. Some PSP games are just unplayable during the daytime, regardless of whether you're sitting out in the sun or not. The glare is ridiculous at times. Best of all though is the improved response time. Hopefully this will eliminate...

^^ Yep. Response time is terrible on the PSP - compare it to something like the DS Lite, where there is no noticeable ghosting at all.

Family Guy = cartoon with bright colours. Try playing a dark game when it's light outside. Something like God of War is often unplayable, even at the full brightness settings.

But the new PSP might not be hackable anytime soon. I'd say wait a few weeks, until we get more info. PSP-3000 may not even be all that special.

Gaming New PSP revision unveiled at Leipzig

Nah, I strongly disagree. For me, the screen refresh rate is the biggest problem with the original PSP, and it really should have been fixed in the PSP Slim. Basically, what's happened is this: PSP software sales are down, and hardware sales are up since the release of the PSP Slim. The...

Gaming New PSP revision unveiled at Leipzig

To be honest, an improved LCD screen is a good enough reason for me to upgrade to this one. But at the same time it is a kick in the teeth for all the people who upgraded to a Slim - less than a year after its release, and Sony unveil yet another, even better, revision. I know Sony are trying to...

Erm... I'm not sure that would be as simple as you make it sound.

Couldn't care less about the built-in microphone, however the improved screen is certainly intriguing. Depends how improved it is though, might just turn out to be something that most people won't even notice. Either way, I'm glad I held off buying a PSP Slim this week.

There's a few sources around, but some of the sites seem to be down. It'll be better after the Sony conference is over.

Gaming New PSP revision unveiled at Leipzig

PSP-3000 will have a built-in microphone and, more importantly, an improved LCD screen that can display more colours with less glare. And much less ghosting too, perhaps? Hopefully. Out in October. How long till it'll be hackable then? Because that'll probably be the only that will stop me from...

    Gaming New unflashable PSP firmware?

Aren't the 'G' code PSPs the ones that come with the TA-088v3 motherboard? Not 100% sure on this, but I think only 'F' and above PSPs are hackable...

    Gaming Matt Bronze Slim PSP

Okay, just a couple more Slim PSP questions before I order. Firstly, can the original PSP AC adaptor be used with the PSP Slim? Don't see any reason why it couldn't, but I wanted to make sure. Secondly (and this is rather trivial), is the pouch that comes with the PSP Slim any different to the...

    Gaming Best 8Gb memory sticks

I know the Sandisk Pro Duos are reliable enough (I've been using them myself for over two years), I just wanted to know if they were actually faster than Sony, and other brands. Can't complain for £35 though, that's almost half the price of what the Sony ones usually go for.

    Gaming New unflashable PSP firmware?

Erm, do you mean it's 4.01 now, or did it come with 4.01 installed when you bought it? When did you buy the PSP?

    Gaming New unflashable PSP firmware?

I don't think it's the firmware that's the problem - any firmware can be downgraded - just that new PSPs that ship with 4.01 firmware are likely to have the TA-088v3 motherboard, which cannot be hacked.

    Gaming New unflashable PSP firmware?

OK, so 4.01+ firmware = non-hackable PSP. Anything below will be fine, right? Is there anyway to check the firmware of the PSP on the packaging? I want the Matt Bronze Value Pack by the way, which was released in April, and I'm guessing most of the ebay sellers are still trying to get rid of...

    Gaming New unflashable PSP firmware?

Just a quick question, if I was to randomly order a PSP from ebay, what's the likelihood of it being a TA-088v3? From what I hear they're not very common at the moment, I reckon I shouldn't have any problems...

Cheers, that's for the 4GB though. And no Sandisk. Everyone seems to think that Sandisks are better, and at this price it's certainly tempting: http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronic...uo/Product.html
