Hacking M3 GBA Expansion Pack battery question

The funny thing is that even when I had a dead battery (really dead, 1day after DS power off. Though in actuality, as long as you quickly reboot your ds after playing a GBA game in order to get the M3 firmware to transfer sram to the SDcard, you should be fine. ...though now I need to fix my...

Hacking M3 GBA Expansion Pack battery question

I'm bumping this topic to let you guys know that installing a supercapacitor in place of a dead battery seems to actually work quite well. The battery on my M3 GBA expansion cart died a year or two ago, so I replaced it with another battery, and when that one died a fairly short while later, I...

    Reverse Engineering HBC

The biggest give away that this is a fake is the low quality, INTERLACED (lol) screenshot of THBC that was merely taken from a capture card and edited into a dolphin window. learn2dscalar Seriously, why in the world would dolphin output interlaced video...

Gaming Zelda Spirit Tracks Rabbit Locations Map

Out of the goodness of my heart, I decided that I would post screenshots of my railmaps which have ALL of the rabbit locations marked in them (Though I must admit, there are a few of them where I wasn't particularly accurate, but no longer have any way of verifying their location). Anyway...

Gaming Zelda spirit tracks END BUG!

I was actually wondering if you could miss the portal, well now I know. I'm surprised that Nintendo did not catch this possibility, or make the portal larger... I bet some Nintendo employee is laughing right now.

Gaming Official Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Help Thread

I can confirm that this information is correct, and that also happens to be where my last heart container was excellent. Now all I need to know is how to get to that sneaky chest on the building to the right of the Cuckoo house, and I think I'll have everything... Also, a strategy for...

Gaming Official Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Help Thread

Question. Do you get anything significant for beating the third level of the fighting mini game at the castle town within a specific interval of time? I played through it twice with times of approx. 37:00 and 33:00, and only got some boring loot. I'm asking this because I have everything except...

Gaming How many of you use a pirated Windows 7?

I use a legit serial of Windows 7 Pro. However the only reason I do is because my school lets me in on MSDN Academic Alliance for free, therefor I get get windows 7 Pro and a bunch of other software for free. Otherwise I would pirate it :D Additionally, it is not very hard to do a couple...

Homebrew Zelda ST working perfectly with DeSmuME 0.9.4

I'm also playing on DeSmuME 0.9.5 (why use 0.9.4 when a new version is out?) Also, in order to remove the audio clipping that occasionally happens in the castle, go to Config->Sound Settings, and set it to synchronous mode. Also, mine is running at full/mostly full speed (only a little slow on...

Bug with [spoiler] tags and quick edit

I do not know if this has been reported or not, but it seems that the backend code that converts the spoiler bbcode to html does not run when you do a quick-edit of your post. Let's see if I cant reproduce the bug right here. ... EDIT: Ok, I see now, its only immediately after doing a quick...

ROM Hack 4507 - Zelda Spirit Tracks Anti-Piracy Hack

Just chiming in to say that the game works great with little-to-no configuration on DeSmuME with nearly full-speed (only slows down on the world map), though I have a 2.6GHZ C2D, so your mileage may vary. Also if you find that there is annoying clipping with some of the sounds then go to Config...

    Hacking Wii Emergency help please

I'm running 64-bit windows 7 and NUSD is working just fine. Here are some tentative solutions: 1. Right click NUS downloader.exe and select "Run as Administrator" 2. Windows XP compatability mode? (I dont think this will help but go ahead) 3. This program requires .NET 2.0. Vista should not...

Hacking Wii reading DVDs at 3x

I'm pretty sure this question hs been answered several billion times already, but meh... The reason why all backup loaders read at 3x is entirely because of the DVD drive firmware, and the way it TOTALLY locks itself in 3x mode when reading standard DVDs. So, unfortunately it is not something...

also gonna install twilight menu in my r4 flashcard
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
