    Hacking Wlip

In the Theory, there is no modchip in that scenario, just the Wlip attached. So would the Wii still work, does adding just the Wlip make it stop working.

    Hacking Wlip

In theory, if you put in a Wlip, and don't attach anything to the adapter, will the Wii still operate with originals?

    Hacking Wlip

Check this thread for a previous post I made about one such solution. However, there is only place inside that this will fit and you can close the case. In the Wlip picture it shows where they put it, and it is right in that area that there is a small deeper section that if you put the two...

    Hacking Wlip

What was your soldering approach with the Wiikey. Did you desolder the wires from the 8 pin adapter end of the Wlip? or did you use another approach.

    Hacking Wlip

So the top part, not the legs is what to solder the Wiikey too, so that the legs can still be inserted into the Wlip's adapter. I asked the Wlip people and they said that that will work.

    Hacking Wlip

drexx, I feel for you. Huge bummer. As far as my solder approach for the Wiikey to the Wlip, it will work. I think this is the best approach while keeping everything neat and changable buy a 8 pin pic adapter from Radio Shack, only 99 cents/$1.49 for the two pack. Quicksolder the WiiKey to...

    Hacking Wlip

That is not gel, just the plastic case. In the Wlip website that is the White part, although in reality it isn't White. As far as using the Wiikey, I am in the same dilemna. I even posted in the soldering thread about one option, but no one has responded to it. Please check it out and let me...

Hacking What exactly do I need?

It doesn't have to be complicated, just be able to use 8 pin pic chips. I got one for $13 off ebay just yesterday, it even comes with one pic chip Like this Programmer on Ebay And if I had seen that before I ordered one yesterday, I would have gotten this like tomorrow and not have to wait...

I was just replying to someone else's post. I also have a Wiikey, but I also ordered a programmer because I personally find this fun and wanted to try it out.

    Hardware Opening/Soldering the WII *INFO*

OK I got this from Radio Shack, (although in mine legs are straight, and in the picture they are bent) My intention is to take a WiiKey and solder it to this, then snap it into a Wlip. Do you think it will work, can it work? Then where the heck do I solder the wires that I already...

Hacking evolving from ds flash carts to Wii chips

Tweaked, the brickblocker program is simple it takes 15 seconds to run. you only need to run it on isos from a different region than your Wii. If you stick with ISOs from your region, you don't even need to run brickblocker. And since bricking only occurs when other region disks are run that...

    Hacking Wlip

You can pick up a programmer on ebay with a free pic chip included for about $14. Attach it to your computer, download the software and the open source for the chip and install it on the chip, clip the chip to the Wlip, clip the Wlip to the Wii DVD Drive and done. Very cheap and quick.

    Wii Exploit found in Zelda.

From their code repository check-in logs "Makefile rule trigger on Makefile changes, too." I think that log comment should say "Makefile Hyrule trigger on Makefile changes, too." Anyway that image is from the GameCube version, so maybe you have to run the GameCube version in your Wii to get...

Sorry for the dup here, I had gotten an error and assumed that meant the first version didn't get through

    Hacking Wlip

Can you get an 8 pin pic or some kind of 8 pin pic adapter to solder the Wiikey to that then clip it into the Wlip? I ordered a pic programmer anyway because I like playing with things and trying it out that way too.

    Register/validation wrong email

When I registered, I made a stupid mistake of typing in the wrong email address, and yes I mistyped it twice in the confirm email textbox. Actually I copied and pasted it into that second field. Yes I have a helmet and ride the short bus. Anyway, I obviously never got the validation email, and...
