    Homebrew youtube

Actually, you probably can browse youtube from your DS if you were willing to do some programming work. Option 1) Write a PC server to download/transcode youtube videos then stream mpeg video to your DS Option 2) Use something like the iPlayer to decode youtube videos using hardware

    Homebrew Mini Vmac

System 6 is available for free at Apple's site. As long as the Macintosh ROM is not included it should be fine.

    Homebrew DSi Homebrew Channel (IDEA)

Well, you don't need the DSi to start on your project... Since the hardware is probably going to be pretty similar you could at least design and implement your user interface on the DS using the available tools. Once the DSi is cracked you can go about adding whatever loader and backend code...

    Homebrew Hello world problem

I think you need to learn on a platform that is well documented and has a good debugger: a PC for example. There is no law saying you can't learn on the DS, it's just going to be more difficult. If you are ready, just use libnds. There are plenty of examples now and it is designed very well...

    Homebrew Hello world problem

Including nds.h will not make your program magically work If you are just learning how to write code I would suggest you start on the PC first since it is so much easier to debug.

The fastest way is to name the disk "disk0.dsk" and put it in /vmac. If that still doesn't boot make sure it works in the pc version first.

That is probably not a Stuffit issue, HFV Explorer is not guaranteed to work 100% of the time. I have not yet found a foolproof method of downloading mac stuff on a pc, some stuff works and others don't. You can try other copy modes in HFV Explorer which may help, though I find .hqx files to be...

You can get up to 7.5.5 for free from apple's site, look for their older software downloads. There is one catch, I never found a way to install it on a PC so unless you have a real mac you are out of luck. Besides, you generally want to stick to 6.0.8 and the 2.5MB build for maximum speed anyway.

Anything up to and including 7.5.5 should work, 6.0.8 is still the best for the system though.

You can find Aladdin Expander 5.0 here: ftp://ftp.cs.stanford.edu/pub/Windows/NT-Stuff/ALEX50.EXE I never could get later versions to properly extract the files.

There seems to be a mistake in the Windows documentation, you must use "Aladdin Expander 5.0" to extract the stuffit files. Sorry for any inconvenience.
