    Hacking Rominator for NDS

Thanx for the reply , I won't go "hexediting" anything, but it's interesting to see how you do it all the same

    Hacking Rominator for NDS

@Hank. This is not a bug report. More a simple Q . Can you confirm that the database matches the data (for instance covers/icons) via the game 4 digit number? If so, do you happen to know who determines what game gets given what number? It seems that all rom's, regardless of where they're...

    Hacking Rominator for NDS

OMG, I just recognised your dysmorphic features. Guys, this is a troll who lives on the NDSTokyoTrim thread. Instead of being in the proper place (under the Utilities subforum) it's in the R4 section as the author admits he won't otherwise get enough exposure (sad). NDSTT displays backgrounds of...

    Hacking Trimming ROM's

Another vote for Rominator here. Safe trims to preserve the wi-fi and hasn't had an issue with any of my +70 Roms yet. It even trims games that aren't normally in the database (like XXXX Game & Watch Collection (J)) and they play fine afterwards. Fantastic tool imo, can now fit about 50 roms on...

    Hacking FAT 16 or 32?

Ok. Thanx for the info. I don't notice any speed issues as is (currently FAT32) so I'll stick with the space saving (only a 2Gb card). Cheers

    Hacking FAT 16 or 32?

I thought FAT32 was more versatile re:filenames and more space efficient? Is FAT16 only better re:speed?

    Hacking Rominator for NDS

Firstly, great update. A few (Very minor) issues: * Whenever I check for updates, it prompts to d/l "Program update: This update brings Rominator to v5.0.1 and incorporates the following features......" Well, I'm using that one already....not sure why it keeps asking to re-download it....not a...

Hacking Kingston 2GB or Sandisk 2GB?

They're the same if you compare like for like (ie similar speed ratings). I have a 2Gb Sandisk (Taiwan). I have NO issues with slowdown with any games. I have NO issues playing Castlevania POR. I have NO issues with d/l play or anything WiFi. In fact, my 2Gb "made in Taiwan" Sandisk microSD is...

    Hacking Rominator for NDS

Hey, you're right (I never noticed that game before) Unfortunately I don't speak Japanese, but the game looks like good multiplayer fun using voice control. Cheers

    Hacking Rominator for NDS

Oooooh....v5 . As far as I can tell, the only Club Nintendo Japan games so far are those two. You can get them both from mininova if you need to test them. In fact, they're the only rom's I've found with no "official" number.....they're both listed as " XXXX - Game & Watch collection (J).nds"...

    Hacking Rominator for NDS

Firstly - THANK YOU for creating such a fantastic trimming tool for os x. *No peado-hentai bg's *Full OS X support *Works brilliantly on a lowly PPC 1.67Ghz (that I use) *Previously got about 40ish unttrimmed roms (with space for homebrew too) on my 2Gb card, now can fit 50ish *LOVE the...

Hacking Post your usrcheat.dat files here!!

Hi....first post Firstly, THANX to rayder for such a comprehensive cheat.dat.....beats having to wait for R4 updates. Anyways, I think I've found an issue with a cheat. 1448 - Race Driver: Create And Race (E) Enabling the "activate all cheats" cheat seems to work fine. You can go and play...

also gonna install twilight menu in my r4 flashcard
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
