    if the hdd is corrupted and your wiiu is asking to format it i don't think they's anything that can be done then. wiiu formatted drives can only be used on the wiiu it was formatted on and windows can read the hdd either.

    i thought wiiu saved game saves to the internal memory and only the games themselves was on the hdd? ive got smash wiiu on disk and then i switched to a digital version on my hdd and the save still worked fine, dont quote me on this as i could be wrong edit: if I'm right then your saves should...

    could be faulty headphone jack. when you plugin headphones it cuts the audio to the speaker, could be stuck in this mode.
